Guido was spectacular. I believe the guide and the customer have to click. I believe that my wife and I were one of his best tours

Anne Frank Guided Walking Tour through Amsterdam's Jewish Quarter
Daniel was excellent! Perfect English, great perspective of someone living/studying in Amsterdam. Very clear explanations. He emphasized safety, too, around all the bikes and traffic. Could not have been better!

Anne Frank Guided Walking Tour through Amsterdam's Jewish Quarter
The guide was very, very knowledgeable. He had a great sense of the history of Amsterdam and had a superior ability to explain everything involving the subject of the Jewish history of Amsterdam. We also explored the Jewish quarter and ended at Ann Franks house. He had a great sense of humor and the tour was, even though the subject was very heavy , totally enjoyable. Hewaseverything you wantin a guide.

Very interesting. Sometimes too much noise where he chose to stop and talk. Enjoyed the tour very much.

The story and information about Anne Frank and her family. How Hitler came about in the late 30’s and how Anne’s father prepared the attic for the families to hide in.

Anne Frank & the Jewish History of Amsterdam, private tour (3-4 hours)
Great experience with our tour guide Chris who met us outside the Portuguese Synagogue. We ultimately bought tickets to tour the inside of the synagogue which was not part of the tour but was a worthwhile experience and glad we opted to do it. We took the tram to the Anne Frank Museum and walked the rest of the way. It was a must to see this exhibit and glad that Chris got us the tickets. This tour is not advisable for anyone with mobility issues.

When to get there

The Anne Frank House is open daily, except for Yom Kippur, with extended evening hours during the summer. Lines can be long at peak times, especially in the early afternoon, when you may have to wait an hour or more to get in. To avoid the crowds, arrive at the museum entrance either early or late in the day. Keep in mind that last entry is 30 minutes before closing time and the line closes earlier—depending on how busy it is, this can be as early as two hours before closing time.

Jewish Amsterdam

To get a clearer picture of Anne Frank’s life, both before World War II and during the Netherlands’ occupation by Nazi Germany, consider exploring some of Amsterdam’s other important sites in the Jewish Quarter (Jodenbuurt). A guided walking tour focused on Anne Frank’s life visits her family home and school, while an Amsterdam canal cruise along the Canal Ring (Grachtengordel) gives you a unique perspective from the water, and a self-guided audio tour lets you learn about the sights at your own pace.
