The Basics

While the 1877 silver strike that inspired the rush to develop Tombstone is long gone, the “Town Too Tough to Die,” as some called it, did not disappear like the surrounding ghost towns. Instead, the town pulses with eclectic Wild West shops, costumed performers, reenactment shows, and more. Visit the iconic O.K. Coral, stroll through the Boot Hill cemetery, take a ghost tour at the Bird Cage Theatre, and learn more about the town’s legendary past on a guided walking tour. Alternatively, you can see Tombstone’s highlights on a historic trolley tour.

Tombstone Terrors: Ghosts and Gunslingers of the Wild West
This was a fun history tour of Tombstone. We learned a lot about the grisly past of the city and saw more buildings and locations than I could count. Our tour guide Skye was sweet and fun too.

The Bullets and Bordellos Ghost Tour in Tombstone
We loved the mix of history and spooky tales, our guide has a gift for storytelling! The way he told the stories he shared with us really brought the people and places of Tombstone to life — you could truly feel their sorrows and joys, and the uneasiness of terrible crimes that occurred in the past. I would absolutely recommend a tour with him to anyone who enjoys history, ghosts, or just great stories!

The Bullets and Bordellos Ghost Tour in Tombstone
All the historical stories felt intimate, real but very creepy . Our tour guide Larry, made the entire walk scary-fun and thrilling . Fun fact at one of the motel windows I took a picture of an actual Ghost peeking out from the curtains. Just what I was hoping for.

Great day. We had lots of fun. We recommend the Big Nose Kate Restaurant and the reenactment of the shootout. The court house museum was also interesting.

The Dead Men's Tales Walking Ghost Tour in Tombstone
Larry, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I were the only 2 people in our tour group. My wife had a sore knee and Larry was very attuned to making sure that she was okay. He had many stories and photographs that brought our to life.

The Bullets and Bordellos Ghost Tour in Tombstone
Our tour guide, Tess was very knowledgeable on the town of Tombstone and its stories. We really enjoyed her telling us about her personal experiences. Only thing that would make it better is if we got to have an encounter with one of the spirits ourselves but obviously that is out of everyone’s control.

Tombstone Terrors: Ghosts and Gunslingers of the Wild West
I am a history nut so the OK corral was great to see. There was also a lot of paranormal activity there. Also on the trip as we walking near a park a swing started swinging on its own. Someone in the group stopped the swing and seconds later it started again.

Learning much more about Tombstone except cowboys and gunfights. We loved the time spent by our tour guides Pepper and Belle and all the facts and stories shared.
