A varied tour on land and sea with great landscapes, bays, historical and cultural insights
Mr. Karthek was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, a careful driver, and a perfect organizer of this long day tour; he was very amiable and considerate; We liked the tour very much as it allowed us to see and visit a good part of the beautiful Northland landscape, the Bay of Islands - a great tour by itself - a Maori cultural performance and a great historical tour of Waitangi.
If I could recommend any tour this is the one! If I could give it more than five stars I would! Amazing from start to finish! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The sights were unforgettable. Really felt immersed in the Māori culture! I would go again in heartbeat!
Fantastic experience. Beautiful surrounds a very informative moving and engaging show, finishing with a plentiful succulent meal. Would certainly recommend.
All participants in the concert were so joyful and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. The selection of 3 chiefs from the audience was an entertaining aspect.
Experiencing the way the food was prepared was also a highlight....but not as good as eating it!!!
Thank you very much.
Tanya is an outstanding tour guide/bus driver. We enjoyed all of our experiences.
From riding the tour bus on the beach, looking for beautiful sea shells, walking out to Cape Reinga, viewing the coast and sliding down the sand dunes.
We also really enjoyed the culture Waitangi tour and walking the entire property. Also - great gifts in the gifts shop.
Bay of Islands- great boat cruise!! We saw tons of dolphins on route and a few near the hole in the rock. Really enjoyed the short hikes on Otehei Bay.
So glad we took the time to visit Waitangi. It's a must see here in NZ.
Loved this tour. The guide was informative and humerous. I learnt a lot about my own Maori heritage. The cultural performance was excellent, the singing was just beautiful and they involved everyone in the show. The Waitangi grounds are well cared for and the New Museum was emotional to visit.
Special place in our beautiful country’s history. It was a privilege to be able to revisit the grounds and the historic content is very emotional honouring the past and present. Our future is bright with cultural awareness!
We recommend booking e-tickets ahead of time to secure your spot since Waitangi can get crowded. If you book with Viator, you can cancel at least 24 hours before the start date of your tour for a full refund.
