Cultural heritage is not always displayed there. TRADITIONAL FESTIVALS in Japan are unique and you can access only a few days in a year. October 14 and 15 are the only two days you can see the massive traditional floats called "Futon-daiko" in Hiraoka Shrine area. The floats are made of woods and beautiful red cloths. The woods are fully decorated with sculpture worked by special local craftsmen. In the bottom half of the float there is a huge Japanese traditional drum. The floats around two tons are carried by local citizens moving around the area, and finally gather at the shrine. There are over 10 local towns that have their own floats, over 20 floats are coming together. With over 100,000 people coming to the festival, let's enjoy your cultural discovery unique to this place, this day.
