The basics

One of the best ways to see the Seine is to walk along it, particularly on the central stretch from Les Invalides to Île Saint-Louis. There, zigzag across the river on the Pont Alexandre III, Pont Royal, and Pont des Arts to see some of the most elegant and well-known architecture in France.

Alternatively, a Seine River cruise allows you to rest your legs and admire the same sights. Book a brunch, lunch, or dinner cruise to combine your sightseeing with a French meal, or opt for an Eiffel Tower combo to enjoy two of Paris’ most popular activities in one tour.

Must do! Great private boat cruise.
Great private tour for our family of 4. Our driver/guide (Rado) was wonderful. He knew so much history and got us positioned to take great pictures making lasting memories. The boat was very comfortable. While we didn’t need them, there were blankets provided. We loved the intimate nature of the cruise, it gave us time to relax and connect as a family while seeing the beautiful sights of Paris. This is definitely a must book excursion for a trip to Paris.

Seine River Cruise on board Vedettes du Pont Neuf
Fantastic river boar cruise, seeing a lot of the must see sights of Paris from the river seine. Our guide was excellent and spoke fluent English, so it was very easy to understand and hear what he was saying . Would highly recommend this trip for anyone visiting Paris and wants to take an hours rest and have a glass of wine or beer while seeing the sights .

Big Bus Paris Hop-On Hop-Off Tour with Optional River Cruise
This was nice to sit for a while. We only rode it for a bit~ line was kinda long but they do have several buses. We ended up walking most of the sights once we got to stop 1 from Eiffel Tower. Bus was clean and comfy, we sat on the top deck & vireos were nice. They give you headphones to plug in to wall unit for translation of commentary to multiple different languages. It was nice to hear about the stuff as we were passing by.

Paris Seine River Dinner Cruise with Live Music by Bateaux Mouches
My wife and I had the dinner cruise and were initially sceptical but ended up enjoying the total experience: professional staff and boat, clean restrooms, great service and good food (we had the lamb). Even better was the view from the river and city highlights. Strongly recommended.

Paris Gourmet Dinner Seine River Cruise with Singer and DJ Set
This is a very pleasant experience. Food was good. Boat was clean w ample room. Trip down the seine was great, especially after dark. Would recommend to anyone. Only reason not 5 stars is service wasn't exceptional nor was music. But, I would recommend this to anyone. Easy to get on from the metro too.

Big Bus Paris Hop-On Hop-Off Tour with Optional River Cruise
I found it challenging to find the Big Bus bus stops initially. And I think for Paris, I probably would have booked the Toot bus instead of Big Bus just because of the availability and number of stops they have. I will say the Big Bus was maintained clean and we had access to the headphones, the audio guide was very clear as well. i also should have only booked the 24hr pass and not the 48hr one that I had booked.

Paris Evening Bike Tour with 1-hour Seine River Cruise
Our guide Pierre was the best! He was extremely kind and very knowledgeable about the sights of Paris. He also made sure our safety was top priority in navigating the busy areas. I did this tour with my husband and two kids, ages 8 and 13. It was their favorite activity in Paris. I would highly recommend Pierre and this experience!

Exploring Canal Saint-Martin

In northeast Paris, the Canal Saint-Martin district is home to smaller waterways where footbridges, crossed by trendy locals, replace the Seine’s traffic and tourists. Enjoy a more laid-back atmosphere and watch boats on the locks with a wander along the tree-shaded paths.
