The Basics

One of the best ways to see the Seine is to walk along it, particularly on the central stretch from Les Invalides to Ile Saint-Louis. There, zigzag across the river on the Pont Alexandre III, Pont Royal, and Pont des Arts to see some of the most elegant and well-known architecture in France.

Alternatively, a Seine River cruise allows you to rest your legs and admire the same sights; book a brunch, lunch, or dinner cruise to combine your sightseeing with a French meal or opt for an Eiffel Tower combo to enjoy two of Paris’ most popular activities in one tour.

Paris Seine River Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Cruise
This made our weekend. Being able to hop on and off the Batobus enabled us to just sit back and take in the beautiful architecture along the Seine, but also hop off to take in more of the sights like the Notre Dame or Eiffel Tower. The boats were all well managed, clean and warm. Such a great experience.

Paris Seine River Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Cruise
This is a great way to see some of the most iconic parts of Paris from the River Seine, and the best is that you can hop on and off over 2 days. So the suggestion is to do this on your first day so you have plenty of time to enjoy the experience.

Bateaux Parisiens Seine River Gourmet Dinner & Sightseeing Cruise
This was a very enjoyable dinner cruise on a clean and contemporary boat. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the food and drink was very good. Great exposure to a number of Paris' historical sights. A bit pricey but, in the end, still a very enjoyable time.

Paris Seine River Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Cruise
I booked this for me and my partner as something to do throughout our trip to Paris, was so easy to use, just scan your pass when getting on the boat. And it takes you to all the major sites or close enough to them. Boat was clean and staff were helpful. Would highly recommend over the metro.

Very nice lunch, great service. Boat was clean and comfortable. Scenery was beautful. You see most all of the river adjacent monuments and museums. A good way to get acquainted with the city cener.

FANTASTIC Tour Guide! Fabian was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, friendly and concerned about everyone's safety and security. We had so much Fun. Both - Riding bicycles around Paris at night, as well as the boat ride, was the highlight of the trip.

Exploring Canal Saint-Martin

In northeast Paris, the Canal Saint-Martin district is home to smaller waterways where footbridges and trendy locals replace the Seine’s traffic and tourists. Enjoy a more laid-back atmosphere and watch boats on the locks with a wander along the tree-shaded paths.
