Waiheke Island Private Double Headland Walk

Experience the twin headlands of Matiatia and Church Bay on Waiheke Island, walking with your private group and an expert local guide. This walk consists of two parts, with lunch in between. Northern route (approx 2 hours): We’ll walk around the Matiatia headland and past Owhanake Bay, enjoying beautiful views of the Hauraki Gulf Islands, Great Barrier Island and Coromandel Peninsula. You’ll spot sea birds, native plants and, if you’re lucky, orcas or dolphins. We’ll stop for lunch at Oneroa Village. You can eat in one of the local cafes or have a picnic on the beach with food you’ve purchased or brought with you. Southern route (approx 2 hours): We’ll walk through Pio Rehutai Reserve and around the Church Bay headland through a sculpture park and a stunning bush reserve. We’ll pass hidden coves and amazing homes, as we enjoy view of the city and sea.

Private Maori Walking Tour with Wine Tasting and Lunch
"Our local guide was Jacquelyn, who is ½ Maori. There was little she didnt know about the native culture. We were fortunate that we had her to ourselves as there was no one else on the tour. She happened to be the current chairwoman of the local forest and bird society. She was most knowledgeable regarding the local flora and many seabirds. She met us at the pier and we began the hike up through the forest to the overlooking cliffs which offered a wonderful prospect of the harbor and ocean beyond. This tour is not for someone that is out of shape or has mobility problems. I wouldnt describe it as strenuous, but is a steady climb up the cliff with some fairly steep stairs cut into the hillside. The reward for the effort was lunch at a winery where you can picnic on the grounds with killer views that go on forever! Jacquelyns sunny can do disposition merely added to what was already a highlight of our stay in New Zealand. GREAT job Jacquelyn and thank you!"..."

Waiheke Island Art Walk
"The art walk was an interesting group of New Zealand artists. It was quite a bit of walking and some uphill however the tour guide really went out of her way to accommodate since it was more walking than we expected( 2 of us were over 80 years old). She obtained her boss' car, which we did not expect, and took us between some of the places and also to 3 artist's homes. We had lunch( the guide had purchased sandwiches earlier) at the third home. All in all it was a great day. We did tip, which is not necessary, because of the auto which was not part of the deal. Even then she said it was not necessary but we insisted ! EXCELLENT DAY !!!!!!"..."

Waiheke Island Double Headland Coastal Walk
"Justine was absolutely fantastic and made the day so enjoyable. It ended up being just me on the walk, which was great that they still take people out despite having a small group. The hike itself was gorgeous - not too difficult, but there are definitely some areas with stairs and/or a steeper incline. Justine was personable, knowledgeable and allowed me to customize the walk slightly since it was just me. So glad I did this day trip and highly recommend it to others considering it!"..."
