This was the perfect tour for our afternoon layover in Amsterdam. It is located just minutes away from Central Station, so it is easy to get to when taking the train from the airport. They loaded quickly and departed on time, giving us a nice tour of the canal, and detailed historical information along the way. I would highly recommend for anyone who is visiting Amsterdam, especially if you need something to do during a long layover as my group of four did. Great value for the money we spent and very efficient.

The tour pointed our closer to 30 things in the city: churches, historic neighborhoods, told dates and other things. A full, well-spent hour. The ear bud inputs were horrible and shorted out though.

Go with a different company. The boat and tour was a total waste of $$. There are so many other options. We were on a boat with a bunch of school kids and a captain and first mate that talked the whole time and the audio tour was dumb. Don’t waste your money

Disappointing experience

We got to the loading location early but a few large groups were seated before us and we ended up being the last couple of people on the boat, which meant we had terrible seats. Our view from the center aisle was terrible and though I tried to take pictures, they are terrible. Very disappointed.

Nothing Grand!

Overcrowded, smelly boat which had not been cleaned from previous cruise. The stench from someone having vomited was overpowering. This canal cruise company needed to allocate seats during the booking process and ensure customers are not squashed into more seats than available. Sadly, the weather was very wet and cold therefore the roof was in place making it very difficult to see anything unless you were seated at a window. Each row had approximately 4 or 5 seats either side of the aisle. Due to the boat being very crowded, the windows steamed up making viewing out of them almost impossible. Some passengers chose to open the windows to try to get photographs resulting in very cold, wet conditions for others.

I like that it wasn't loud, and you could hear the stories with the headphones. 1 hour was very optimal duration to see the city. Friendly guides, clean boat and toilet, comfy seats, quick boarding.

Ok, better cruises to be had.

We had booked tickets online before, we arrived 30 mins before our time but was too early, and there wasn’t availability on an earlier cruise, which was fine as we thought we would use their cafe and facilities however this was closed. The boat was full and we ended up at the back which was open sided, so very cold. At the back you have to plug your earplugs into sockets that are at the top by the ceiling which meant the person/s sat next to the riverside had cable trailing across them. The audio was ok, small snippets of information and places of interest but very bland. We have done a river cruise previously with another company and it was a lot better but for the price and just an hour, it gave you a small insight into Amsterdam. The location was great though, right in front of central station.

Bad sound in the headphones. Unclear directions, and loitering guidance (uninspired). Unclear directives at the boats (can you go before or should you still stand in line when you have pre-purchased tickets for a particular departure).

The boat was filled to capacity, it was warm, smelly and noisy inside and cold, wet and windy if you sat outside. It's advertised as an hour so expected it to end after an hour but it went over by 15minutes. I imagine in summer it's nice but winter / spring time is miserable. Tour information was OK.
