We really enjoyed this canal cruise with wine and cheese. Our guides, Phee and Matheus, were knowledgeable and entertaining. The wine and other drinks were plentiful and the cheese was good. We learned about Amsterdam as we saw this beautiful city from a different perspective.

Disappointing

We were really looking forward to this trip but unfortunately the boat was too crowded. There was barely room to sit down, the sides of the boat were too high to see over properly and we only got a couple of small plastic glasses of cheap wine (and we had to ask for for the second one!). The cheese was also disappointing as it was just one basic type of cheese chopped up into small cubes (there were no cheese biscuits or accompaniments). There was nothing at all ‘luxury’ about this experience unfortunately and it was not worth the £30+ we paid.

We had a most enjoyable and informative ride along the beautiful canal of Amsterdam. Our hosts Dometri and the lovely gal. (Sorry don’t remember her name.) They were very nice and made sure that our glasses were refilled. They told some history of the canals as well as some interesting stories.
