Captain Storm was a terrific guide. He was personable, knowledgeable, and a charming host. The tour itself was incredible - the canals of Amsterdam are rich with culture and history. I felt that this tour truly was one of the best canal cruise options because of the unlimited snacks & drinks and the small-group atmosphere, as well as because of Captain Storm and the route he took us on. The boat was also beautiful. I’m very pleased i booked this tour for me and my boyfriend’s 5 year anniversary celebration instead of a private boat - it was much more enjoyable than that i think.

Great Experience

What a great time and food. Pieter, our guide was excellent. Very friendly & knowledgeable. It was a small group of 12 people and was very relaxing time. We thoroughly enjoyed the Dutch cheese & bitterballen. The day was very windy so really appreciated the windows on the boat. Would certainly recommend this tour.

Horrible Canal Tour

Worst tour I have ever been on. Operator was dull, barely pointed out any landmarks and when he did, we had often already passed them. Nearly hit a couple of other boats. Spoke to those on boat about personal things such as their job, family, politics. At times just cruised and said nothing at all. We learned more about the city in a half hour walking tour from our hotel than we did on this canal tour.

Enjoyable but not great value for the cost. Basically a boat ride with few significant highlights. Captain talked nonstop and could barely be understood. Invest in an inexpensive sound system. Also improve focus on important sights and reduce personal anecdotes.

Captain Eric did amazing job of piloting the boat around most of Amsterdam canals. We had previously gone on a canal tour with one of the huge boats (Love) and it was so disappointing. Very crammed full and so hot because they would not open the roof. Captain Eric's boat was all open, clean and welcoming. We loved the snacks,especially bitterballens ! I would highly recommend paying a little extra for a truly perfect look at Amsterdam !! Book with Captain Eric , you will not be disappointed !!!
