Very fun to go see all the sites out of the city! Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed it and learned a lot about the Netherlands! The only suggestion I would have is to suggest at the beginning of the tour to rotate where guests sit in the van at each stop as my husband and I were picked up last so we were separated between the middle and back seat for the entire day. We still very much enjoyed it, however it would have been nice to sit together for part of the driving on a 10 hour tour.

I think the trip was great… best part was seeing the windmills at the first stop! We did this tour early September in a mini van with 8 people so we thought it would be a little private at the stops… not a chance, we were with 10,000 tourists and 5,000 locals at every stop as it was beautiful weather and the last weekend before school returns.

Our tour guide Pete, was friendly, knowledgeable of the villages and the dyke, which was very interesting to see, and very attentive to guests’ needs!

Enjoyed seeing some functioning windmills and how to make wooden shoes. A good variety of Gouda cheeses to find your favorite. As an engineer, found the ride across the 30-mile dike and the system for continually pumping out water very interesting. Canal boat ride through a residential neighborhood in Giethoorn, accessible only by boat, was amazing. What a beautiful town. Our tour guide, Pete, was wonderful and did a great job with the tour; even had photos taken of us on the boat. My husband and I completely enjoyed this day tour and it was even better being picked up at our hotel. Highly recommend. Thank you Pete for a great day.

Koen our tour guide was awesome. He picked us up at our hotel and brought us back when the tour was over. So much better than trying to find the meeting place in an unfamiliar city. We knew what kind of vehicle he would be driving as well as the tag number. Very impressive. We saw the windmills, cheese making and wooden clog making. Only negative was the diamond cutting. Wasn’t interested and would have liked that time to look around the village. On our way to Giethoorn we stopped to look at the dike dividing the North Sea from the lake. Very cool. Loved the village of Giethoorn. Thatched roof cottages, and canals . Had free time for lunch then had a boat ride through the canals and out onto tthe lake where the swans were. Had more free time to walk around and to explore. Koen is a good vehicle driver as well as boat driver. We would take this tour again. Maybe in April when the tulips are blooming.
