This was the highlight of the day for us! We had an amazing skipper and host, lounged with drinks while taking in amazing views and learning so much about Amsterdam. Would highly recommend this as a must do! Perfect pickup drop off location as well. This was a wonderful experience in Amsterdam. Our host kept us supplied with beverages both adult and sodas and we all loved it.

This is a small boat tour. Not one of the barges. It is not covered but open. The beverage selection was great - several wines, beer and soft drinks. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Unlike some boats we never felt like cattle or cargo.

I went with my friend and we had a lovely time! The boat masters were so sweet and generous with the wine (which was a plus in our book). This trip is great value for money and you get to learn a lot about Amsterdam.

Not worth it

There was no shade on the boat and the drinks were warm, so it was pretty uncomfortable on a hot day. The guide didn't use a mic and told the boat that not everyone would be able to hear unless he swiveled, which he did not, so the back of the boat did not get any of the facts/tour piece. The guide really only catered to the bachelor party at the front of the boat, so other people were getting their own (warm) drinks and just trying to enjoy the ride. A slow boat ride through canals is pretty boring if you can't hear anything about the history/significance of the place. Can't really recommend this excursion.

Just a boat ride

The captain and crew were very nice. Beverages were offered throughout the cruise. Though, throughout the one hour canal tour we had perhaps maybe five sentences in total of information about Amsterdam. Most of the time the guide did not speak at all. Basically, this turned out to be a simple boat ride for one hour with beverages. Unfortunately, I guess you get what you pay for.

We had to rearrange our trip as the cruise ship had not docked in time, the guy I spoke to was polite and really helpful, rearranged the trip for the eight passengers and was generally really friendly to deal with. The trip itself was excellent, we left the berth at 7.00pm and with only ten persons onboard in total with our party being eight of them, it was quite a personal tour of the city with a knowledgable captain and first mate. Good choice of beer and wine, or soft drinks available and readily refilled as soon as you neared the bottom of the drink. A big thank you ..
