What To Expect

When making a booking, you will need to advise your flight details and your hotel details or residential address. Your transfer will be confirmed at the time of booking, and you will be provided with a travel voucher to present to the driver. Then board the shared shuttle to Auckland Airport.

Transfers operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are operated by a fleet of modern, comfortable minivans.

Called day before to confirm time and place. Said they would be there on time to get to the airport, that it only took 35 minutes. Waited 10 minutes after they were to arrive and called office. Never answered the phone. Waited 30 minutes more, never showed up. Now, a big city, rain and 5pm traffic with road construction. Instead of 30 minutes, it took an hour and a half to get the the airport in a taxi, that was very hard to find. Even the taxi driver said, why would they tell us 30 minutes on a Friday after 4pm. ? Never heard from them. Do Not use this service.

The pick up was on time. My pick up at Sydney airport was a disaster on 2/20/23 & I missed my shuttle to Marriott due to poor info about meeting location at airport. It caused me stress in a foreign country with no cell phone service yet. I would like a refund since I booked several tours & shuttles on this trip !

Company cancelled first transfer from airport to city without explanation. Return journey was with driver who in summer used no deodorant, and spoke on phone to personal friends once on the motorway. Driver was unsafe on slippery road and struggled to stay in lane.

There is a communication problem between Viator and the shuttle company. The notices from Viator were sending me to an intersection 20 minutes away rather than confirming my hotel pickup. Aldo, they didn’t include the pickup time. The shuttle service planned to drop me off at the airport 2 hours ahead of my flight - it should have been 3. Was able to sort it out with the shuttle company but way too stressful.

I booked Auckland City to Auckland Airport with Viator who used the Airport Shuttle Vans on their website. There are many problems: 1. The website asks for flight details, but does not provide a pick-up time. 2. I received a confirmation from Viator email with no pick-up details. 3. When I rang the confirmation number from Airport shuttle on my confirmation email, it took 3 attempts to get through and they had no record of my trip or booking. 4. Apparently the Shuttle was unavailable and my booking was automatically cancelled. 5. I was not notified it was cancelled. 6. I spent about an hour ringing Airport Shuttle to organise. a shuttle. 7. I did finally get to the Airport in plenty of time with Airport Shuttle. 8. Airport Shuttle should not use Viator as a being a reseller as Viator are not competent resellers.

Transfer itself was great. But … according to your booking you have to contact a local provider the day before to tell them what time you need to be picked up. I spent 30 min on a phone trying to get through, being on hold. Thankfully I got through and gave them my info and pick up time. Another thing, about Auckland. The city is a construction site. They are building a metro underground. A lot of streets are closed, and if your hotel is on one of those streets, you’ll have to drag your luggage uphill or downhill from a drop off location. A driver will try to get you as close as possible on a way to the hotel from the airport, but it really depends on a location. And if you use an option to locate your van for your pick up, don’t even waste your time, bc you’ll be on hold for an hour, or until your van arrives. It might be late too. It’s very easy to locate them at the airport on arrival though.

First of all I paid to arrange a ride to the airport to get there by a specific time. I called around 9am the morning of pick up to verify and confirm pick up by 8:30pm so we could get to the airport by 9:00 at the latest. I was told that everything was set. That night the shittle didn’t show up till 8:50 and then had to stop for another pick up. We didn’t arrive to the airport till 9:30 which doesn’t sound too late but when you’re traveling internationally, the stress of running half an hour behind schedule is horrible. I called to ask where the shuttle was and no one ever answered or called back. I would not recommend going with viator cause they will pick you up late, leave you sitting there wondering if the ride is even coming and then not compensate for the delay.
