Your guide will meet you outside The Pantry cafe at the Park Hyatt Auckland – at the corner of Halsey Street and Jellicoe Street, opposite the ASB Building. Once you arrive at The Pantry, look out for your guide – they will be the person wearing the grey or black Power to the Pedal t-shirt!

For your enjoyment and safety, groups are small and personal - so a maximum of 6 riders per group, plus friendly guide
Minimum age 14 years old (teenagers of 14-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult).
Minimum rider height is 5 foot (152cm).
Whilst experience riding an electric bike is not necessary (we'll provide an orientation and we'll do a test ride to make sure you're comfortable before we head off), you must of course be able to ride a bike! If you haven't ridden in a while, for your enjoyment/safety and that of your fellow riders, we strongly recommend you have a practice riding at home before your visit to Auckland. As well as riding on our wonderful cycleways, we will of course be riding in the road at times (to get to the good places!). Riding in traffic is a dynamic environment, so you will need to be comfortable riding in the road in order to enjoy the tour. And Auckland's volcanic past means that there a quite few hills to go up and down - the eBikes make going up easy, but you'll obviously need to be able to ride downhill!
Closed toe shoes are required. Sports gear not necessary - casual clothes are fine but dress to the conditions please.
Free storage available for small bags at the city centre departure point.
The tours run rain or shine – you will be provided free use of a bright and comfortable rain jacket, if you need one.

Our electric bikes are designed with a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds (113 kg).
Most travelers can participate
We recommend you bring sunscreen - the sun in NZ can be very harsh!
You may wish to bring a bottle of water with you for the ride. You can store this in the bag on your bike. There is also a drinking fountain near our departure point where you can fill your water bottle.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

This was such an enjoyable ride. We were able to see alot of Aukland coolest areas. The wharf was awesome. The e bikes were so easy to use and it's guide was awesome. Highly recommend this tour. And you don't have to be in great shape to ride with these bikes.

Great way to see the ward and down town area

We are very pleased with The Inside Loop, electric bike tour. Carson was our group leader and is excellent with his caring for us, for our safety, and that we enjoyed the ride. Although I’m an experienced rider my wife is not. I was glad we spent time reviewing the functions and experience of these electric bikes. The bikes themselves are very functional and adapt to every rider skill level. The route is safe and well planned. We went about 10 miles (18 km). We did not have to ride in heavy traffic lanes with autos since there are extensive dedicated bike lanes. I highly recommend this tour of Auckland and Carson as your guide.

This was the best way to get to know Auckland. Super organized, we had earpieces so we stayed communicated. The guide gave us relevant information about the city and also assisted us with the driving signals because we are used to driving in the other side of the road so it was challenging to cross every intersection. The bicycles were easy to use because they were also electrical, so in the hills it wasnt difficult at all and everyone can do it. The city is beautiful. We loved this tour and I highly recommended it.
