Gorgeous views, a really lovely experience! Staff were awesome. Saw bottlenose dolphins in the distance. 10/10 recommend.
Do not book if on a cruise

If you are on a cruise do not book this tour you will not make it. Boat leaves at 8.30am sharp and like us the tender will not get you there on time. Missed the boat by 3mins. Boat will not wait. Thankfully tour Operator put us on a later boat but missed out on the Island stopover. Only got to Hole in the Rock and saw dolphins and that was amazing.

Really lovely way to see more of the Bay of Islands. We were lucky enough to get to go through the Hole in the Rock, which was great fun. We also had a small pod of dolphins briefly swimming along with our boat. Absolutely magical!

The day we arrived was rainy and windy so going clear out to the hole in the rock was not possible due to safety concerns, which really wasn't a big issue for us. The tour was interesting, thorough and a great way to get a perspective and see the islands closer up. For us, the commentary was a bit too detailed, but I'm sure others appreciated it. The boat was good -- great to be on top, or out of the wind below where you could still see and hear everything. A good tour.

The weather was great, although too rough to go out to the Hole in the Rock. We were given the option of getting off before we left Paihia, but we stayed, as did most of the travellers. Visited most of the inner islands, and had the bonus of a large pod of dolphins joining us, which was a wonderful sight. Lovely walk on the island, so all in all a great trip.

Super fun! We had some rough water but our captain was willing to take us out to see the hole in the rock. For those of us on the top deck during the rough waters, the crew would come and check on us to make sure we were ok. Overall would recommend!!
