What To Expect

Your full-day tour of Northern Ireland’s major sights starts with early-morning pickup in central Dublin.

An iconic black cab awaits you in Northern Ireland’s beautiful and infamous capital. This tour gives you a safe and introspective account of this impassioned city, most well known for its history of political and religious unrest. Explore Belfast’s Falls and Skankill neighborhoods, where hundreds of ornate murals impart Unionist and Nationalist political messaging in glorious color. Learn of the city’s industrial roots, its divisive conflict and its current youthful revival.

During the tour, you’ll see several of Belfast’s top attractions, including sites such as the Belfast Docks and the Harland and Wolff shipyard — snapshots of the city’s industrial beginnings. If the sentiment takes you, feel free to request a stop at other notable sites like the Peace Wall, where you can add your name to those of other peacemakers who have touched this monumental city.

The next leg of your journey is the grand Antrim Coastal Drive, taking you along Ireland’s wild, rocky north coast for dramatic sea views and the fairy-tale glens of Antrim. Speaking of drama, stop at Dunluce Castle, a medieval construction that’s enjoying a second life is as the House of Greyjoy in the award-winning TV series "Game of Thrones."

The 2-hour drive brings you to the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Giant’s Causeway. Stretch your legs and enjoy a meander through this geological wonder that has been the source of many Irish myths. Then, get cozy in your coach seat for the return ride back to central Dublin.

A day well spent
ALYSSA_K, Sept 2023
Do yourself a favor and book this tour. It’s a long day but well worth it. Sara and Joe were a great team. After taking several other tours during our trip this was by far our favorite one, by a landslide. From the unique photo ops to the historical and cultural education, everything was wonderful. I would definitely recommend doing this on your next trip to Ireland.
Belfast in a day

The Titanic museum was very interesting but Dunluce ruins & the Giants’ Causeway while great to see it was raining heavily & very windy so it made it difficult. Obviously this has no reflections on the guide or driver.

Our tour leader Kevin and driver Krishna could not have been nicer and more informed. They kept the drive interesting and kept everyone informed. The Black cab tour in Belfast was beyond enlightening.
An Amazing and very worthwhile Tour....be sure to choose Belfast Black Cab Tour option!!
Wendy_H, Sept 2023
The first portion of the tour was with Belfast Black Cabs and driver Kevin....thoroughly informative explanation of the TROUBLES. We signed the Peace Wall and saw the gates that close every evening at 7:00pm and reopen at 6:00am every morning...shameful situation in this day and age. Our bus tour guide Sean provided excellent commentary, sound track and tips throughout the trip thru Dunluce Castle and The Giant causeway (with accompanying fact and fiction explanations of the fantastic display of the marvels of nature). Highly recommend !!!!
Totally worth doing

Our tour guide Sara, and bus driver JP were fantastic. 13 hours seems like a long day but Sara does great job keeping everyone engaged with Irish history, folklore and music. There’s a perfect number of stops to help break up the day. The bus itself is a little uncomfortable. It’s a little too small but not so much so that I wouldn’t recommend.
Loved it
Cayla_O, Sept 2023
Loved Eve and Pete, they were phenomenal and really loved the Cliffs of Moher and the trip into Galway wish for a little bit more time in Galway but its a long day with lots of things to see and a lot of good information from Eve.

Wonderful experience, loved every minute. Our tour guide David was exceptional. His singing was an added bonus. The cab tour of the troubles in Belfast was well worth it.

Excellent driver John and tour guide Sarah! Beautiful Ireland indeed...a true paradise with truly nice people.
There’s always more to learn
Cynthia_F, Sept 2023
This is a fully immersive day, with a great balance of history, politics, culture, and natural wonders. We felt we learned so much hearing from residents of Belfast, who lived in the neighborhoods on either side of the Peace wall over the last 60 years. Hearing history from those who lived it does more than create empathy, it broadens one’s perspective. Our guide and driver were excellent, and made a point of stopping to take in the view a few extra places because the weather was so pleasant. Be aware there is a fair amount of driving time in the coach, but it was quite comfortable and worth the distance. We would recommend 10/10..
Wonderful way to experience Northern Ireland!
Barbara_K, Sept 2023
With quite a few day trip options to Northern Ireland, I'm so glad I chose this one. Sean was a fantastic tour guide. Fun, informative, personable for starters (as any good tour guide should be), but I really love the music he played for us along the way, all the helpful tips he gave and checking in with everyone regularly. His singing the Rattling Bog was truly awesome! Love that song and he did a great job. He offered to write everyone's name in Ogham, which was an extra special touch. Very cool! Stipe was a great driver and everything was timed perfectly. The black cab tour was so interesting. Our taxi driver/tour guide Sean did an amazing job bringing that history to life. Overall a fantastic day seeing several awesome Northern Ireland sights. Will definitely back to see the Titanic Museum and other areas offered by this tour company.
Check out Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Day Trip was excellent! It was a long day but so worth it because you got to see a lot, Including Dunluce Castle, Giant's Causeway, along with the option of either doing a political cab tour or see the Titanic Museum. I chose the Cab Political Tour and it was educational to hear from an actual person who lived during the segregation at the North of Ireland and still does. You get to see the Peace Wall and murals along with the gates that exist still there. The tour is great. The Tour guide, she was excellent an shared her own experience because she is from Belfast and appreciated it. Her name is Ouda, spelling may be wrong and the driver was friendly and drove us safely.
An Eye Opener

Una and her stories. The emotions from hearing the stories from the black cab drivers. The breathtaking views of the castle and the giants causeway. All made this the perfect day an a memorable experience that I would recommend to anyone.
Highly recommend!

Una was such a great guide! The taxi tour was an informative and educational, with friendly drivers. And the Great Causeway was incredible!
Very informative.

This is a great tour. Beautiful scenery and a knowledgeable guide in Belfast. I recommend for anyone interested in the history of Northern Ireland.
A day of beauty and education and entertainment ! Highly recommend
Janet_B, Sept 2023
I thought this was a going to be a very long bus ride to the north but Dave told such great stories and played music that kept us entertained the whole time so it went by quickly. Our bus driver Krishna was excellent and was always looking out for us and trying to keep us comfortable. It was a hot day and they even made an extra stop for drinks etc on the way home. The black cab tour was eye opening-we learned so much about Belfast and all its troubles.(Our black cab guide was excellent too!) We got to sign the peace wall and hope that someday the walls will come down. The castle stop and the Giants Causeway were beautiful - all in all a perfect day . Well worth the time spent !
Great day trip!
Kim_M, Sept 2023
What a wonderful day. The black taxi ride in Belfast was truly a memorable moment. Ronnie our taxi drive was very detailed in the telling of the awlful events that happened. He was kind and answered any questions we had. The Giants Causeway was also beautiful. Our driver (Michael) and tour guide (Pete/Dave?) were also very good.
Interesting and worthwhile
Diego_F, Sept 2023
Black cab tour was very interesting, simple understanding of historic developments in Ireland and North Ireland. Giants causeway and Dunluce castle were beautiful. Long bus ride but worth it .
Worthwhile trip for a very brief overview of Belfast
88rxzzgts8, Sept 2023
We really enjoyed our trip, although we both wished we had more time in Belfast. The black taxi tour was worthwhile and very interesting but we would have liked to have seen more of the city. The time at Giant’s Causeway is ample. The hotel restaurant was very nice although a bit of a wait for a table.
Giant Causeway
