This tour took us to two amazing wineries where we learned so much about the chianti making process and tasted several wines. The wineries were beautiful and the owners were there to answer questions. Viola , our tour guide was amazing.

Winery tour
Rob_J, Sept 2023
Great to hear and learn from the locals how they make their wines. Beautiful atmosphere and surrounding countryside.
Nice if you don’t have a lot of time in Florence but there will be better experiences out there
Hannah_P, Sept 2023
The first winery is lovely and picturesque. The second winery is far too commercial. We were rushed in by our guide Gaia (who clearly was upset the timings didn’t go to plan and made it very apparent with her complaining). It took 1 hour 30 to get to the second winery and we were only there for an hour inside a restaurant and didn’t actually experience any of the land or cellars
Wine sun and fun

Was such a fun day!! Janet was an amazing tour guide and Luigi was a great driver. Both tastings were a bit different but so enjoyable, great way to meet other travellers too. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Great wine and greats hosts
Mathieu_M, Sept 2023
Both wineries were great! The host at the second winery, Boggio Ai Laghi winerie, made it very entertaining. Would definitely do it again.
Wonderful experience
Emily_W, Sept 2023
Great atmosphere! The hosts and the wineries were very knowledgeable and learned quite a bit about what to look for in your wines.
Fun tour
Cynthia_G, Sept 2023
We enjoyed both winery’s and found our wine specialists at each winery informative and funny. Would recommend this tour.
Great wine tour
yRobert_S, Sept 2023
The tour group (Ciao Florence)we had for this wine tour was well organized with clear cut meeting point as well as polite and competent tour registers and tour guides they made sure everyone scheduled for tour made it on the bus they even waited 10 mins for any tourist who had any navigation issues finding the bus pick up point. We visited two beautiful wineries. This was a great tour. One of the most exciting things was watching the bus driver navigate the hillside.
A fabulous way to spend an afternoon in the countryside
helentarver1, Sept 2023
Both wineries visited were fabulous, although a complete contrast to each other. I enjoyed the wine and meeting different people on the tour. Our guide, Lisa, was lovely and gave just the right amount of information throughout the tour. I would say that the joining instructions are not clear, it's completely chaotic at the meeting point. There was no one in a fuchsia jacket, it was a check in desk, with lots of tours heading off at the same time. It's also quite a long way from the railway station.
Fun

This was a great tour. We loved it. We had a great English speaking tour guide. The first tour was so very fun. The wine presenter was very funny. Mark was our bus driving and the tour guide (we think her name was Janet? ) made the trip amazing. The only confusing part as others mentioned in the reviews is finding the bus but just ask people where the bus station is and you will be fine.
Wonderful informative tour. Can’t wait to go home and share the wines we ordered with our family.

Had a great time. Janet was a wonderful tour guide and helpful with making dinner reservation for after the tour.
Great wine
MICHELLEDIAZ, Sept 2023
The tour guide was very pleasant and the wine was great on both tours but the locations are not what you would expect to take photos no rolling hill views only from the bus. The secondary winery was pretty and the bites were delicious. Finding the tour guide was a bit challenging in a sea of ppl at the meeting location

If you want a commercialised experience with no genuine care or feel to the customers book this tour. The guide was an american who was pushy and rude. We were hurried continually at each vineyard.

Robert_C, Sept 2023
The wine testing at Tenura Torsado was excellent by the passion showd by the personnel and the quality of the wine and meal. The visit at the Palagetto was not so memorable but the wine was good.

Lovely scenery, beautiful wineries and informative guide. Tour departed on time, well organised. Had a lovely time ❤️
Don’t waste your time
Christina_M, Sept 2023
I would never do this again. We left late and came back later. We spent more time on the bus than at actual winery’s. We were so late for both that our tastings were rushed. From the beginning we were treated like money and not people. Do not book this tour if you have plans later, you will miss them. We scheduled a train an hour and half after we were supposed to return and missed it. Spent way more for train tickets than for the wine tour. While our host Roberta was amazing (she’s the reason for one of the stars) our driver Stefano(sp?) was not. He was rude, pretended he could not speak English when he could, and was on the phone most of the time he was driving. The first winery was almost an hour away and a lot of fun and had great wine. Exactly what you would expect. Then we traveled for over a half hour to sit outside and drink mediocre wine that was barely explained. We were then herded like cattle to the bus because were supposed to be back in a few minutes. We then rode another 50 minutes back to Rome. A five hour wine tour and we spent maybe 1.5 hours at actual wineries. Overall disappointing.
Great Tuscany tour of two vineyards
Marcella_B, Sept 2023
Really enjoyed the experience and samplings of Chianti and Tuscan wines. The appetizers were tasty and authentic. It was also nice that the tour was only for a half day if your short of time!
Winery tour with unexpected extra sight seeing.
Sheri_R, Aug 2023
The wine tasting and presentations at the two wineries was excellent, informative, fun and with wonderful pairings. The wineries had unique characteristics - cave storage and the infamous Black Rooster. The challenge was getting there, unfortunately the bus driver did not seem to know where he was going and this added considerable wasted time to the tour. We made the best of it all and enjoyed the day.
Unknowledgeable arguing driver and guide
Heidi_H, Aug 2023
This was an incredibly unpleasant experience. The bus driver was lost for over 90 minutes. The driver and your guide were yelling at each other. When we arrived finally at the winery only 2 Chianti’s were tasted. Half were white or Rose. We learned nothing of the region. The dirt, the grapes, the harvesting etc. they tried to sell their products that’s it. We were to arrive back at 6:30 and arrived back at 8:30 completely ruining our evening plans. Both were unknowledgeable. She had the audacity to ask for a tip even!
This was the worst day...
wayadm, Aug 2023
This was the worst day trip we have ever been on. The driver and guide did not know how to get to our first winery so we ended up driving around for 90 minutes listening to the guide and driver yell at each other. When we eventually arrived at the first winery they did their best to laugh it off. Was a little surprised at the amount of white wines offered thought it would be more red wines in Chianti. Pick of the wineries was the second one we visited.
