First and foremost, Bijan, our tour guide, was the BEST part of our day! His personality, knowledge and sensitivity are top notch! He even made an extra stop on our way home to make sure we got to see something we hadn't! Over and above great service! Our horse tour was a little disappointing as our guide was not at all friendly and seemed to be having a bad day. He didn't introduce himself, our horses, or give us any info about the types of vineyards through which we were traveling. Our group also had difficulty keeping our phones in our pockets, meaning they fell out! We seriously thought our guide was not going to let us retrieve them. We felt like misbehaving, little children rather than adults who had paid a bit of money to have a nice time on a horse. Thankfully, the scenery is as you would expect, breathtaking! And everyone else was wonderful so we put this portion of our trip quickly out of our minds. Word to the wise, secure your cell phone! Our time in San Gimignano was wonderful, complete with award winning gelato and a very spirited puppet show on the square. So fun! And Bijan's knowledge of the town't history was very complete and interesting. Such a cute village! Great shopping, too! Our day wrapped up with lunch and a tasting of wines from a local winery. Fresh, Tuscan and delicious! The meal began with meats and cheeses, bruschetta, and a bulgar wheat and tomato salad. Then, we enjoyed Pasta Bolognese, which was fabulous! Our wine educator was knowledgeable and friendly and the wines tasty! We tasted 4 different wines from the property, a white, a rose' and 2 reds, plus Limoncello, also made on property.The gift shop made available the option to ship wine anywhere and also had t shirts and other swag to purchase to commemorate your visit. Limoncello was my purchase of choice! Thank you, Viator and Bijan for such an enjoyable day! We won't soon forget you! Overall, it was a picture perfect day! Beautiful scenery, good food and wine and a charming guide to accompany us, we could not have wanted more! We even came away with a few new favorite songs to remind us of our day! Had the horse guide been more friendly, I would have given this tour 5 stars but sadly, he was not, thus the 4 star rating.

Beautiful day in Tuscany

We started the day horseback riding with a breathtaking view of the vineyards in Tuscany. The horses were very friendly and cute! Then our awesome tour guide Max picked us up and took us the San Gimignano to get some gelato and gave us free time to explore this beautiful little town. After that we were taken to an amazing spot for lunch where did some wine tasting with our intimate group and the lasagna was one of the best I have ever tried. The day after we had experienced a big group tour and it made me appreciate having a smaller group rather than one of those large bus tours with like 50 people. This was an awesome day and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I guide was Daniel! He was fantastic! Very funny and had so much knowledge of the places we visited! The winery was fabulous! The owner took over our tasting ! He is a very passionate man! Great speaker and motivator! We had such an amazing time listening and getting to know his Winery! The horseback ride was phenomenal! Up close and personal! We all loved every minute!

Great Tuscany experience

We really enjoyed the guide, Max! He was a wealth of information on the drive, funny and interesting! We had a small group of 8 and got to know them all. That made for a relaxing and pleasant outing. Horse back riding was very special as we went through the vineyard and olive groves. Whether it was ourselves as novices or the two sitters that were expert riders, evryoe enjoyed themselves on the horse backing thru the Tuscan countryside. Wine tasting and meal were spectacular as was S. Gimignano. Once again, Max is one of the top guides we have been around who wove local attractions, local history, profession jam and personal touch all together for a wonderful experience for all of us who got to experience it. Thanks for the opportunity to experience real Tuscany!

This tour was beautiful and enjoyable from beginning to end our tour guide, Elizabeta was fabulous. She was so good and explained so many sights to us. She even stopped several places for us to enjoy the view Our horseback ride was phenomenal the views when riding were gorgeous. And the winetasting and luncheon were superb.

A fantastic trip, Lorenzo our guide was kind and considerate and ensured we were well looked after, he told us interesting facts and some Italian legends which we found amusing, he’s one of the best guides we have had on a trip abroad. The horse riding was great, the horses were patient and well behaved (thank you Luna). We didn’t go to the vineyard for riding but to other stables which was unexpected. I was fine as a rider, but for some non riders the track was steep in places so we were accompanied by staff on foot to help any stragglers. Our group all enjoyed themselves and the wine and nibbles after dismounting. The wine tasting and lunch after a visit to beautiful San Gimignano was very welcome and we enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch and chatted about our adventure. Would recommend this to others who want a great day out.

Fantastic experience

Our tour was definitely great because of our tour guide. Marcial aka Maxx was so fun and informative. I learned not only fun and interesting details about Florence but our whole group felt inspired by Maxx to live more and be in the moment. The tour itself had a quick and easy start with a very clear meeting point. They started on time. It’s smaller groups that split up, and having just 8 of us was another really great feature. The 8 strangers connected and had a great time as the day developed. We started with S. Gim, got to walk around and eat some gelato. There’s a panoramic view in the city to take some nice photos. Then, we did the horseback riding, which was a nice light leisure ride through a vineyard. Lastly we ended with lunch, where Mira our wine expert was very sweet and taught me a couple new things about sipping wine. The food and service were fantastic. Most of the group loosened up with this part for sure. It’s a good amount of wine 👍🏼👍🏼 Our guide took us back the scenic route and showed us a little extra. We were very appreciative. Definitely recommend. Yes, it does take most of the day, plan to be back 4 or 5PM.

The tour of San Gimignano and the winery were highlights of our trip thus far, and Bijan was an absolute superstar of a tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the area but also knew all the hidden gems in San Gimignano and helped you feel at home going from station to station. The food at the winery was some of the best we’d had throughout our whole trip. However, I will say the horseback portion of the tour left a good bit left to be desired. Not to Bijan’s fault, but the other guide who led us on horseback, led us in complete silence through the vineyard while on his phone the entire time. The only time he addressed us was to tell us to catch up for move left or right, but after receiving the most minimal tutorial on how to actually ride a horse prior to getting on the horse’s back, I more felt bad for the horses that they had to deal with us trying to manage them incorrectly. The experience still hit 5 stars without the horses back portion all together, but seeing as it was our most anticipated portion of this experience, it was a bit of a letdown to have it be so stressful and anticlimactic.

Overall great experience. Lorenzo was an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide. The horseback riding was beginner friendly, as the instructor was patient and the horses were really gentle and familiar with the tour's path. Also, the 3 course meal at the end was plentiful and a fun opportunity to bond as a group!

The Most Wonderful Day in Italy!!!!

This was probably my daughter’s and my favorite excursion, that we did the entire time we were in Italy. We were so thrilled with the horseback riding, which was on her wish list. The horses Blondie, and Oscar had amazing temperament, and just gave us the most amazing experience. Our tour guide was very attentive and full of information. Our trip to San Gimignano was delightful as we got to visit the little town and try the worlds best gelato. We were then whisked to the most beautiful winery, family owned with the most precious and gorgeous views of the Italian countryside that I have ever seen, we were able to take great pictures that our tour guide helped us with. We then enjoyed an amazing lunch and wine tasting and were able to ship multiple wines back home that we wanted to continue to savor. My daughter has already said that she would like to come back and do this very tour again and again, and we recommend it highly to anyone who is interested. The saddest part of the day was having to leave the countryside after having the most wonderful day ever.

This was amazing and Daniel was the best guide there was. Took us all over from a farm house to have cappuccino and honey tasting to ride horses through a vineyard. All wraps up with lunch and wine tasting. This is a must do event. All day and worth it. Amazing experience and loved the company Fun in Tuscany.

This was truly more than we expected and well worth the cost. You have to do this! Daniel was super cool! We enjoyed his company a lot. I don’t remember her name, but our host for the whine tasting was excellent and she really taught us a lot, including how to hold your glass and the science behind as to why. Wine prices are very affordable and thankfully, they ship their product out so you do now have to haul anything in your travels. My friend and I had the time of our life and we enjoyed interacting with other guests. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Fantastic trip and well worth it! We met fantastic new friends in the small group of 6. Our guide Daniel was incredibly personable and gave us good quick tours in memorable places and allowed us plenty of time to explore. The trip to the winery was great with a fantastic lunch and plenty of time. The horse ride was really enjoyable and is perfect for beginners. We even had a great tipsy sing along on the way back. Definitely would recommend this trip, and make sure to pat Luigi the winery dog when you visit
