This private tour is a walking day tour with meet up in Hakone. A private vehicle is not included. Public transportation or local taxis maybe used to transfer between sites. Exact transportation costs can be discussed with the guide after a reservation is finalized. Please have Japanese Yen on hand for your transportation costs. If you wish to arrange for a private vehicle, please contact us directly. All Private vehicles must be booked 2 days in advance. Maximum number of passengers: 7. Private vehicles must be booked 2 days before the tour date.

Mt Fuji with ease

Seeing Mt Fuji was the highlight of our tour. Our guide met us at our hotel and navigated us easily through beautiful areas.

The day trip was excellently organized and required minimal walking, making it extremely child-friendly. I have one teen and one nine-year-old. Yoshi, our tour guide, stood out as the highlight of the entire excursion. His proficient English and extensive knowledge were truly impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed his engaging life experience stories. He deserves a big thumbs up!

Prefect local guy Mr HIRO San, super awesome guy, very well prepared, well English speaking, very knowledgeable and on time. He knows the best of all local things.

The drive, whilst polite. was unprepared and uninterested. He didn't make contact beforehand so we could get the most out of the tour. He just dropped us at sights and gave no information other than what he read on his phone.

Great guide yoshi met us bang on time,very informative,however bad weather left us stranded, yoshi substituted and despite thick fog we got back safe and sound

Great guide in Hakkone

Jim was a great guide. He coordinated with us in advance about what we would be doing and helped us figure out the transportation to meet him. He was great with our kids, and brought snacks and an origami activity. We had a rainy day, and he had a back up plan for us in case we couldn’t do our original plans. He was kind and very knowledgeable. You can’t go wrong with him as a guide.

We enjoyed our day with Taka very much. He heard us when we said we wanted to avoid the crowds as much as possible. He was fun to spend the day with and was very adaptable to make the tour what we were looking for. We saw great parts of Hakone and took wonderful pictures of the region. We were taken to off the path spots you couldn’t go without a local. We loved our time on this tour.

Very great trip and guide by Ami!
Informative and great trip to Lake Ashi, the thermal springs and surrounds including a few shrines. The pirate ship was pretty cool!
Learnt more about the area and Japanese culture!
