Horseshoe Bend and Antelope are amazing.
Peach_R, May 2023
Tour was good. Horseshoe Bend and Antelope are amazing. However, the itinerary was not the same as Viator. There were 4 places in itinerary from Viator. 1. St George 2. Horseshoe Bend 3. Antelope and 4. Glen Canyon Dam. The tour operator is not Viator but different company. They skipped the first place st. George, Utah and also didn’t stop at glen canyon dam - just passed by.

Guides shamefully push for tips
Nicole_P, Jan 2023
This “tour” isn’t very guided. It was fine as a means of transportation to antelope canyon, but aside from pointing out a few things along the way, The guide and translators don’t do much. The guide isn’t even the one that takes you through the canyon nor do any of them guide you through horseshoe bend. They just drop you off and tell you to meet them at the front. And at the canyon, a Native American guide does the tour and you tip them after (this makes sense). But none of this would have been much of an issue had the employees of this tour company not been so money hungry. Several times throughout the trip they mentioned tipping and basically pushed a mandatory minimum of $10 per employee (including translators regardless of if you needed one.). They said it was “strongly encouraged” multiple times, told us to go to an ATM if we didn’t have enough and collected the money before the end of the trip (this is usually done at the end), which applies pressure on the guests. Even worse, the guide counted what each person gave in front of our faces. It was incredibly tacky and uncomfortable. When one guest only gave $20, the guide gave them a disappointed look. Tipping is expected but it should be at the discretion of the guests. In the past, I’ve given $50 to a single person guide before simply because I was so happy, but I was tempted to give far less to these employees because of how unprofessionally they pushed the tip amount. It also felt as though they were taking advantage of the foreign tourists who aren’t used to tipping. Unlike Americans, they likely don’t know that tipping in this case should be based on your personal feelings about the service not based on the amount they “strongly encourage” you to give.

Hello Nicole Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your trip to Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon. As you mentioned, there are cultural differences. Perhaps you took the guide's reminder that tips are appreciated a bit out of context. Have a wonderful day Stephanie Empire Vacations

Worst trip ever
Kongtao_C, Jan 2023
Worst trip ever. The tour guide canceled this antelope canyon without full refunds. Besides, tips were required for this canceled trip!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Hello We don't have you as a verified traveler. The only time we cancel a tour is due to severe weather and safety concerns. If a tour does not depart a refund is always provided. Is unfortunate that you would make such allegations. Have a good day. Stephanie Empire Vacations
Trip canceled due to weather conditions but viator refuse to give us refund
Hui_Z, Dec 2022
Our trip to the antelope was canceled due canyon closure. We did not get refund!!!! This is not acceptable!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Hello Hui! Thank you for your review. The tour was operated as advertised. Upon arrival and waiver signature Antelope Canyon closed due to safety reasons. Your safety is our #1 priority. Just like you, we are disappointed that you weren't able to enter the Canyon. We provided alternate attractions and we are glad that you were able to enjoy them. We look forward to hosting you again. Stephanie Empire Vacations
Overall a good tour
NVSudarsan_V, Dec 2022
It would have been 4 but for the absence of Hand Sanitizer in the restroom and anywhere in the bus which is not acceptable in a post COVID-19 world.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Hello Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your trip to Antelope Canyon. The bus company that we use sanitizes everything before and after every trip and we follow all CDC guidelines regarding Covid and have run thousands of tours with no issues. Stephanie Empire Vacations
Fantastic day!
Michelle_N, Dec 2022
What an incredible experience! Although the bus rides are quite long, it's definitely worth the day trip. We were picked up within 15 minutes of the pick up time and we were updated of stops and the tour guide pointed out interesting facts along the way. Antelope canyon is INCREDIBLE. So beautiful. Videos are not allowed and masks are required. Horseshoe bend was also very exciting. Just the size alone of the canyon left us speechless. Worth the trip!!
Response from Host, Dec 2022

One amazing tour
MaryGrace_F, Nov 2022
After two failed tour bookings (cancellations due not meeting the minimum # of people, and tour “no longer available”), we finally were able to book this via Viator. First off, kudos to Ruben at their Customer Service for helping me book the tour. This review is purely for the tour service itself and not the actual attractions visited. We chose the Luxor location as our pick-up location as this is the closest to our hotel. The scheduled pick-up time was 6:30 am, and I made sure were there 15 mins early just to make sure we don’t get left behind. I would say around 6:20 am, Renee, our tour guide, started getting our attention and started to “check in” people. Afterward, she asked if anybody needed to use the restroom as the 1st stop will not be until 2hrs later. After people went back from the restroom, we walked together to our bus. It was a decent-size bus. I know there were 20 of us, so it’s probably a 30-seater bus as we have spare seats available for people to move around. We did not leave Luxor until (my guess) 6:45 am as we were waiting for a couple to show up and as it turned out, they waited at the other pick-up location (Treasure Island). After Irene finished taking care of work-related stuff, she then switch to her tour guide mode. Throughout the drive to wherever our destination is, she will share information about Las Vegas, Arizona, and Utah. There was NEVER a dull moment. She made us appreciate what we were seeing outside, and at the same time gave our driver some pointers on what to watch out for as this was also his first time doing this particular tour. Though this was our first time booking a guided tour, I was prepared to follow the “rules” - that we have limited bathroom breaks, and we have to be back on the bus at a certain time. And, since they have access to the attractions, they did take care of checking us in at Antelope Canyon. They were able to arrange our tour time to dictate what time we should get lunch, or if we should go to the Horseshoe Bend first. A nice perk to have. On our drive back home, Irene did let us rest/sleep with little distractions. Overall, it was an amazing tour service. I did not feel rushed or bored. Her interaction with her guests was superb. My 10-yr-son enjoyed being in that bus with her. Irene truly made the long drive manageable.

Out of this world
MH_G, Nov 2022
Amazing day trip! We were lucky to get the Lower Antelope portion of Antelope canyon. Our guide (Danny Ho) was really funny and knowledgeable. Told us everything there is to see during the 12hour drive. Our local Navajo guide was amazing. Showed us all the best way to take great pictures, toke lovely photos of us (quite artsy) and knew a lot of words in many different language. I totally recommande this tour!
Response from Host, Nov 2022

Lifetime experience!
eileen_n, Oct 2022
Our bus tour and driver was amazing. Danny and Thomas was so nice and patient with us ladies. We had 10 ladies, which was my sister Bach. Danny gave us the history of both horsebend shoes and the antelope canyon. We was surprise with the lower x of the antelope since we didn’t know which area they will assign us in. Amazing, breathe taken, and a life time experience. Must see for yourself! The tour guy behind us with his group kept rushing our group to move which there was another group in front of us as well. So we couldn’t really go anywhere since the group in front of us is not moving. So he was rude. Couldn’t take good picture because the tour guy behind us kept rushing us.. Time in the antelope was supposed to be 1hr and 30minutes. We was out by 1hr 10 minutes. That 20 minute extra could’ve had some great pictures.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Hello Eileen! Thank you for your review. We are glad that all of you had such a wonderful experience and absolutely loved Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. The tour at the canyon is supposed to be only 60 minutes but we are able to get those extra 10-15 minutes for our customers. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Stephanie Empire Vacations
Unorganized
Minoti_P, Sept 2022
The tour organizers made us wait for an hour from the start time of the tour and then canceled. Gave us a run around for days to process the refund Very unorganized.
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Hello! Antelope Canyon was closed for safety considerations and debris inside the canyon. there was a possibility that the canyon would reopen the same day, our goal is to never cancel a tour. Unfortunately we got final confirmation right at the departure time. We hope you have a nice day! Stephanie Empire Vacations
Amazing
Gemma_W, Jul 2022
It was an amazing tour, although I could have pick a better month to go. Not recommended for summer. it was really hot. But if you like the heat, go for it. The bus trip was ok, only if they have their air conditioner working right. But the place is really spectacular.
Response from Host, Jul 2022

The entire trip was very well organised from beginning to end. The tour guides Luis and Danny were so helpful and provided all necessary info during the long ride to and from the various sites on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in seeing the wonder that is the lower canyon Antelope.

Must do tour
Pia_V, Apr 2022
The Horseshoe Bend and Lower Antelope Canyon tours were great by itself. Danny, our tour guide was okay as well. The tour operator and how things are being done is the problem, that’s why I’m giving them 4 stars only. They said we had to be at the pickup location by 6:30, however we didn’t leave til a little after 7:00am. The tour is being done in multiple languages: English , Spanish and Italian. The Italian interpreter was very loud and was sitting at the middle of the bus which was very inconvenient for most passengers as his voice will overpower whoever is interpreting at the front.
Response from Host, May 2022
Hi Pia, Thank you for your review, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend as they are the highlights of the tour. We understand that people sometimes have a hard time finding the tour in a foreign city, especially when they are not native speakers of the language. As a company we give the utmost effort to ensure that no one is left behind. that 30 minutes is built into the schedule of the tour to ensure that everyone is able to participate, without missing any of the attractions. We look forward to seeing you on another tour in the future. Roie Empire Vacations
