    Coordinating with tour company that Viator delegates to was not clear. We used a tour company because we don’t know the area. Ended up missing the Windsor castle part of the tour because we couldn’t find them in the bus station. Buckingham palace portion went fine, but that is self guided and tour company really had nothing to do with it. Buckingham staff said they’ve heard similar complaints.

    This review is not for “Tower of London - small group tour with a local expert.” The tour does not include Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle and does not start in the bus station. This is not a coach tour. Please remove this review because it does not relate to my tour.

    Amazing history told by an amazing historian. James’ knowledge seemed to be unending. He is obviously well respected by all at the Tower. Even the Constable, who happened to walk by said hello to James.

    James is incredible. He has amazing stories that bring places to life. He was the highlight of our 2-week trip to the UK. He does Windsor Castle and Westminster Abby among others. Two couples; mid to late 30's. 1 history buff, 1 nerd, 2 wives who thought James was adorable and snazzy. 4 people who recommend very highly.

    The guide was the best. If I had more time in London I would book more tours after this experience. The only I would change is add a warning about all the stairs.

    There is so much history to the Tower of London, it can be overwhelming. James will take you through with fascinating stories. He is a wealth of knowledge and the small group gives you the ability to take your time and ask questions. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

    I went on this tour because of all of the 5 star reviews of James. I now know why he is reviewed so highly. James is AWESOME!!!! If you’re thinking of taking a tour of the London Tower, you MUST do this one. He has a brain so full of information about the Tower. He is such a gentleman and answered any questions that were asked. This tour WITH JAMES is worth every penny!!!

    James was extremely knowledgeable, nice and easy to hear/understand. The Tower of London is huge and an audio guide wouldn’t do it justice. Highly recommend to really get the most out of 3 hours at the tower.

    We had used our Tour guide before, James. He was fantastic in summer 2022, and excellent, informative, with a great knowledge about Tower of London. I had a question for James re my belief a member of my family was imprisoned, he took the time to check this out with one of the Yeomen of the Guard. Thanks to James I now know it was true in 1581. It made my day, cannot thank James enough. I would recommend James 200% and when I return again will book the same tour again with James. Highly recommended.
