What To Expect

Depart from central London and then travel by luxury coach to Warwick Castle, which dates back to the Middle Ages. See its magnificent ramparts and towers; climb the staircase to the Princess Tower; or head down into the dungeons. You can also stroll through the gardens, where falconry, jousting, and archery take place in the summer.

Next, travel to Stratford-upon-Avon. Here, visit William Shakespeare’s Tudor-era home and make the most of free time to explore independently or have lunch (own expense).

Afterward, head to the famous city of Oxford, known as the ‘City of Dreaming Spires.’ On arrival, plug into your provided headset to help you hear your guide’s commentary, and set off on foot to explore time city. See the ivy-strewn, honey-hued university buildings that have inspired generations of scholars, including the likes of Kate Beckinsale and Bill Clinton. Visit Bodleian Library and the famous Christ Church College, which was featured in several 'Harry Potter' movies.

After a break for refreshments (own expense), continue through the beautiful Cotswolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Your tour concludes in the evening with drop-off in London.

Our tour guide was outstanding. She often gave the driver directions to drive us past certain historical locations. She was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Evan Evans for tours. We did several with them and all were excellent. We did a tour with another company that was disappointing.

Don't Expect Much

The guide shared very little information with us about the sites. We were just dropped off and told when to return to the bus. There was not enough time to fully explore any of the sites. It would have been helpful to have a map of each location with information about how to time our visit (what to see first, what to skip).

Interesting Tour, Awful Tour Guide

I'm sad to write this review, because the agenda of the trip was lovely. However, our experience was marred by the surly tour guide, Godfrey. When we got to the first stop, my mother asked when the castle was built, and he exploded on her saying "Are you serious? I just explained this for 30 minutes". He then refused to tell her and walked away while exclaiming "My tours are like going to the theatre, if you miss the first act, you are out of luck". I don't agree with this as the tour guides job is to answer questions and be the steward for the trip. We were understandably shocked by his behavior and unfortunately had 2 more stops to go, and didn't feel welcome at all. We tried to stay away from him, and didn't go on the walking tour of Oxford due to his previous behavior. His demeanor was in stark contrast to the lovely tour we took just 2 days before where the tour guide had everyone singing along to a great playlist on the way to the Cotswold. Godfrey proceeded to sleep most of the way back, and then woke to tell us to write him a good review and give him a tip. I don't think he should be customer facing at all. I gave this trip 2 stars only because the driver Rowan was kind and the actual coach was comfortable. I'd recommend this tour, but with a different tour guide.

Good way to experience the sights

Fun trip to see the three locations. For us Warwick was the best, then Oxford and then Stratford. Our guide Debra was excellent with lots of stories and personal feedback about the areas which made it interesting. The driver was excellent as well. Each stop gives you just enough time to see the places but will leave you wanting a little more. My wife and I were happy with it and recommend it.

Having been on another Tour with another Company, I can honestly say this was the best tour bar none, we have ever experienced. We were picked up on time, Our driver David was fantastic! Our host and guide Robert, was outstanding!!! He is without a doubt the most Knowledgeable guide you will find. No matter where we were, he had so many amazing facts and information. In our opinion, Robert is truly a walking Encyclopedia of British history….well done Robert! Robert & Gyla were wonderful! Robert shared lots of interesting history, and all kinds of interesting etymology. Gyla's driving was spot on. This is a wonderful tour, just the right amount of time at each spot, and not too much driving in between. Meeting at Victoria Coach Station was easy, drop off near by was a great starting point for a little walk after. All 3 stops were beautiful and interesting.

The whole trip was culturally meaningful and rich in details. Our guide, Omar, was knowledgeable and focused to explain the relevant aspects of every visit. Although the guide optimised our time, we wished we could have stayed more especially at the castle and in Oxford just to get immersed in the atmosphere of the place.

The narrative that Peter gave added to the trip. The locations were so full of history. Warwick Castle with the manikins portraying the residents was a great touch. Thanks be to the Big Bang for the bannisters on all those stairways. Loved Shakespeare’s home, especially the gardens. Oxford University is now a place I’d love my granddaughter to attend at some point. She is their kind of student.

The tour was very good but felt rushed especially in Oxford and Warwick Castle. Warwick Castle is beautiful. All the buildings were unique that we saw. Interesting to see William Shakespeare's house. Tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. Alex was a great driver

What a wonderful day out with my family; it was enjoyable from start to finish. Marie (guide) and Sherrie (driver) were both excellent and a dynamic duo. The pace was right as we visited 3 different locations with enough time to rest. No time to get bored, there was so much interesting information and beautiful historical sights to engage our attention. Yes, I would definitely recommend this day trip, it was a memorable experience. Rating 10 out of 10 and great value for money. Thank you!
