Overview
This tour departs from the historic Lahaina Harbor to find the majestic humpback whales that frequent the waters surrounding Maui in the winter months. Traveling in a small raft creates an intimate whale watching experience not found on the larger vessels commonly used on whale watching tours. Plus, the raft travels quickly, letting you spend more time whale watching and less time in transit.

CHECK IN 30 minutes prior to start time at Hawaii Ocean Rafting, Lahaina Harbor Slip 8, 675 Wharf Street, Lahaina. Paid parking lots are located off Dickenson Street in Lahaina Town. Free parking is for 3 hours or less. PARKING may take 20 minutes to find and walk to Harbor.

Staff were great, good knowledge of the whales. Even at the end of the season we were able to see a mom and calf playing and two males jostling over a female with a calf. Definitely recommend this tour!

Went second to last day of the season not expecting, just hoping to see a whale and we saw 3! A momma, a baby, and a male. Very fun, great guides (Jill and Paul), knowledgeable, and will definitely go out there with them again next time I’m back in Maui.

The most memorable part of this experience was listening to the humpback song with an underwater mic. The naturalist guide shared a lot of knowledge.

This was a lifetime experience that we will never forget!! The staff was absolutely phenomenal and I would highly recommend them. I am certain that you would be disappointed if you went with any another company!! You can see from the pier hat they knew what they were doing f and they were so knowledgeable and fun. They also made it very relaxing as well.

We had an incredible trip! The boat was smaller and able to get much closer than other whale watching tours we encountered on the water. The crew was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful in getting us close to the whales! Highly recommend!

Terrible!!! We registered on time and they told us to comeback at 215, we arrived at 219 and they had already left telling us that they tought we wouldnt arrive, toh i know we were late, it was 4 minutes and they had already seen us!! nobody Helped sad experience

It's disappointing that you missed the boat. Just like an airline, we have back to back trips and have to depart on time. We do boarding call at the harbor area prior to departure and also have check in 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure everyone knows where to board and when the boat departs. I hope you are able to make it next time you go whale watching.

I’m wishing I had a go- pro for this experience! Baby and mama swam literally right under us and two species of dolphin did the same! The captain and her aide were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would totally go in this again but earlier in the year. A lot of the whales were already heading back to alaska when we went.

Late in the season but we were able to see 4-5 whales. Even saw a Calf and Mama. Were able to hear them "sing" and well as flashed us tails! Guides were amazing and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

The eye-level whale watching experience far exceeded my expectations. We saw and heard five to six whales. A mother, baby, the escort male and a couple of other males. The raft operators/guides were very knowledgeable and they shared a lot information about whales. I would highly recommend this experience.
