Overview
Over 200 different species of fish inhabit Molokini Crater, and you have the chance to search for them all aboard this Maui snorkeling tour. Inside this ancient volcanic caldera that rises up out of the sea, you might also find manta rays, sea urchins, eels, or even a harmless shark. This tour also stops at a spot called Turtle Town along the Maui coastline, where you have the chance to swim alongside enormous Hawaiian Green sea turtles. The entire crew works so hard and is dedicated to taking care of their guests. I'm so glad I booked this larger boat; there was no waiting to get in/out of the water because the boat had multiple ladders available. Everything you need is provided- great/comfortable snorkel gear, reef-safe sunscreen, snacks, breakfast and lunch. The food was great, by the way. Molokini crater is one of the best snorkeling experiences I've had. I highly recommend this tour.

This was a great snorkel trip! I'm from Oahu and usually roll my eyes at these tours. I was pleasantly surprised and so glad we did it. First off, the Calypso is a really smooth boat. It was fun to jump off the 2nd deck and go on the slide. Coming back was a bit windy and the boat just glided through it. Wasn't bumpy at all. They serve great sandwiches, beer and cocktails are available for purchase after the 2nd snorkel. And the staff is very friendly. If you're not experienced, they will help you and make your trip fantastic.

Awesome experience and great guidance. The equipment was good and the boat is super comfortable and the best part is it’s stable no matter the sea conditions.
Food was a bit lacking but the fires have affected things a bit so they will probably bounce back on that with time.
The crew was amazing and always had your comfort and safety in mind.

We took this trip on the Calypso, a clean and beautiful boat. The crew was very professional and kind. The breakfast and lunch service was top of the line and very good. More food then you could ever want. Once we arrived at Molokini we spent time snorkeling and enjoying the water. The location was perfect for snorkeling and I felt very safe in the water and protected from the other snorkeling groups near by. Totally enjoyed myself and really enjoyed my day on the water.

Way too hot on the boat ride

The snorkel portion of the trip was a lot of fun, but the ride there and back was horribly hot! We arrived on time to the boat dock, went the wrong way on the pier because there wasn’t any signage telling us which way to go toward Calypso and as a result, ended up getting the worst seats on the boat (in the beating sun). Why didn’t every single person get access to at least a table to eat? For the money we paid, every customer should’ve had a comfortable spot, preferable in the shade but AT LEAST a table to eat and drink! As a result, we will always go with Trilogy tours and tell everyone else to do also! Do better next time with the money you charge people!

Our experience was not good. This is not a friendly company. I cannot recommend this excursion. I would try any of the other excursions that other companies are offering.

Excellent! We were a group of 12 . Snorkelling was amazing. They went out of there way to give us amazing even though the wind/water conditions were not ideal. The food, drinks were good. We even got a treat (ice cream) and the staff were extremely friendly.

Full snorkel experience

This was amazing. My first snorkeling experience, so I’m told this is kind of ruined for me now. There was a little confusion upon arrival - app said to meet at the slip, but in reality they want you to line up by the building next to it. No big deal. Wait wasn’t too long and getting on the ship was easy. There were plenty of seats available. Breakfast was served during boarding and you had a selection of fruit, pastries, eggs and sausage. They also had plenty of water, coffee, tea and juice. This is where I learned my love of POG! After breakfast we started our way to the crater. It was about a 50 minute ride but definitely didn’t feel like it at all. Towards the end, we made our way to the back of the boat where they had sunscreen available so we were ready to jump into the water right away. They offered noodles while you were snorkeling which was incredibly helpful. The goggles were crystal clear and we saw so, so many beautiful fish and eels. You get about 1.5 hours in the water. After about an hour of snorkeling, we wanted to take advantage of the slide, which looks small but gets some speed! So much fun. Also, bring out in the water, I was so, so glad we picked this boat. You see all of the other boats and they were really rocking with the waves. Because of Calypso’s size, we didn’t feel it as much which was a concern of mine! After time was up, we headed to turtle town. While we traveled, veggies and dip were out for a snack. We jumped in at turtle town and unfortunately we did not see any honu. This was slated for about an hour, but this one did feel rushed. You have to swim farther at this one, so you probably easily get half the true snorkel time, if not less. But, still see plenty of fish! When we got back on the boat, lunch was served. There was a variety of sandwiches available along with drinks at the bar (alcoholic drinks were an additional charge).
All of the workers were delightful and positive. The only let down was at the end of the trip they handed out ice cream and for some unknown reason we were not given any.
All in all, incredible day.

Crew was fantastic, friendly, and so helpful. And the pork which I was glad I was able to eat after confirming it was GF.
Best part seeing turtles and snorkeling Molokini. The slide and jump off the boat was fun!
