Great tour. Our driver and guide Bernie was excellent. The Mission winery, lunch stop and lookout over Hawkes Bay were highlights. Very worthwhile!

Such a beautiful place with so much charm. We totally loved the Mission Winery and Vineyards and wine tasting! The drive to the top of the mountain was spectacular!

Our best New Zealand Excursion

We had a wonderful day! I'll admit it wasn't quite what we expected. It was a LOT more. The best part of the trip is easy, It was Paul! Paul spent a lot of time explaining the city in a way that made us feel like a part of it. Learned a lot and enjoyed it. We then went out into the countryside. Spectacular area and we saw much of it. Paul took us to a local Winery where we had a private tasting. We learned a lot about wine and really enjoyed it. We bought a few bottled to take home with us, great price! He took us to a small, 'Local' restaurant that was incredible. Paul then took us to a Chocolate Factory and introduced us to the owner who spent some time with us explaining the shop. We bought to much. Paul is THE best memory of out trip to New Zealand!

Excellent tour and guide

John our guide picked us up at the allotted time. 4 people, 1 van, 1 guide made for a great trip. Went to the Art Deco district where John described the earthquake of 31 and the reconstruct of the properties into Art Deco buildings. Made our way to Mission winery and had samples of 6 wines. Learned about the vineyard and different types of grapes to make the wine. Off to the chocolate factory, had 2 samples and left. Next to an apiary and saw bees in action in an enclosed area. Samples of various types of honey. Went for lunch at Birdwoods. Although you bought your own it was excellent. Lastly to a lookout - Te Mata. Great views. John was fantastic and would highly recommend him and the tour group.
