Ian took us around for the day, and was the man. Super knowledgable and personable, made the experience incredibly fun with a great balance between general chat and wine chat; thanks heaps Ian! The 5 wineries were all beautiful and offered something different - an all round awesome experience and a super fun day with a great small group, would definitely recommend it.

Ian was a great tour guide. His knowledge of the area, vineyards and wines was exceptional. It was a wonderful day out. It was also really nice to go to some lesser known vineyards.

Very good tour with informative guide

Very good wine tour with informative guide. Kerry went out of his way to tell us about the wine industry and orchards, etc. The van was great and airconditioned. Hottest day on record in Hawkes Bay 37 degrees. In hindsight I would have booked the half day tour as I found 5 wineries a bit much. I felt like we were rushing a bit sometimes to fit 5 in. Three wineries would have been enough for me.

Rob Taylor was a excellent guide. This was definitely the best wine tour we have made in NZ. He choice nice vineyards and he gave us good information about the local wine industry.

My friend and I had the most wonderful day on our Hawkes Bay Wine Tour. We were generously and very conveniently picked up at our campsite by Rob - who all day was remarkably friendly, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable on wine. He did a great job of introducing us into the rest of the group who all knew each other and creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
We visited 6 wineries in all and had a lovely lunch in the middle. At each stop we were given numerous wines to try, and everyone seemed passionate and informed.
Rob also ensured my friend and I saw some beautiful sights on route and helped us find a lovely restaurant where we could bring one of our purchases of the day to drink.
This experience was a great way to spend the day and get an insight into the area. Even with the slightly fizzy head the next morning, I can’t recommend it highly enough...
