Have a great time but would not choose the mid day time slot as way too many people (100) at once and you do not get the light rays on camera unless you have a good camera

Simply amazing - some stairs/ladders to climb up/down - the middle of the day is best as the sun is in the right spot - just spectacular

Excellent but crowded

We did the Upper Canyon the day before, and both are very different. The upper canyon is shorter, more confined, less light but is much more relaxed. The Lower Canyon operation is more professional and organized but at the cost of allowing far too many people into the canyon at a time. At one point, we were stood waiting inside the canyon for about 10-15 minutes for the groups ahead of us to move. The amount of light inside the Lower Canyon made for some amazing photos. Our tour guide (Nate), was excellent - with a good blend of knowledge and humor.

Words can’t describe the beauty of the canyon. Be prepared to climb ladders and stairs but the sights are well worth it. The Navajo nation guide made the experience special. Ian is also a photographer and taught me how to best capture the pictures on my iPhone. Priceless pictures to remember a truly amazing experience. I highly recommend the trip.
