What To Expect

Your journey through some of the world’s great artistic treasures begins at the Arc du Carrousel, next to the Louvre entrance. Choose a morning, afternoon, or evening tour and meet your English-speaking guide. Enjoy fast access to the museum with your skip-the-line pass and begin your tour through the massive venue, home to over 35,000 works of art spanning more than 73,000 square meters of exhibition space. Your entrance pass also provides complimentary audio headsets.  

Wander the diverse exhibitions, starting with the Ancient Greek Parthenon, followed by the iconic 'Venus de Milo.' While in the ancient antiquities gallery, view the celebrated 'Winged Victory of Samothrace.' Then head to the Apollo Gallery to see the opulent royal crowns of Napoleon and King Louis XV. Get a taste of the French Revolution with Delacroix’s painting 'Liberty Leading the People,' and take in the Italian Renaissance as you gaze at the work of Michelangelo and Da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa.' With your small group (limited to 25 people), engage in lively chats with your guide and hear entertaining anecdotes, trivia, and history. Or if you've chosen the private tour, enjoy unlimited access to your guide's wealth of knowledge. Afterward, spend as much time as you like exploring the museum independently.

Please Note: Evening tours are limited to Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30pm. For an extra unique experience, book an evening session and wind through the quiet corridors at night, when the crowds are gone and the artwork is basked in soft light. Enjoy the tour without all the bustle, and finish with great views of the Louvre’s glittery outside pyramid lit up after dusk.

Be aware that you will be going up and down many stairs so wear comfortable shoes for walking and standing.
The museum is huge and can be overwhelming so it is very helpful to have a guide to show you the highlights.
Skip the line is the way to go because the crowds are massive at the Louvre.

Skipping the line is well worth the price of this tour. Kenny was very informative and did a great job leading us through a very crowded museum. I think I would have opted to pay a bit more to have a smaller group in hindsight. 25 is just too big.

Maxim, our tour guide, was a knowledgeable man who loves art history. He made the Louvre come alive with his stories. We would not have appreciated half of what we saw without his expertise. He made it really enjoyable. The meeting place prior to the entrance was easy to find. And it didn’t take much time to get inside. Recommend!

Nice way to hit some highlights of the Louvre without spending all day at the museum. Our tour guide Gregory was terrific! He was very knowledgeable and had great stories and insight throughout the tour. We also stayed for a bit after the tour to browse around but it was much better having a tour guide to explain what you are looking at and point out the highlights. Highly recommend a tour like this if you want to enjoy the Louvre. Don’t try to do it on your own.

I totally enjoyed the Skip the Line @ The Louvre Tour. The Louvre is very crowded and having someone walk you thru the museum was great. I got to see all the highlighted exhibits like the Mona Lisa. I think walking with the guide was very helpful in explaining a lot of the exhibits.

I traveled with my daughter to see the Louvre. Our guide was informative and interesting on masterpieces. What I didn’t like is that she moved at a very fast pace. Busy day at the Louvre. The guide was very disgusted and accusatory with the group because we all couldn’t kept up with her stating we were wondering off. This is not true. Other Louvre guests were cutting in front of the tour guests (us) causing delays in keeping up. Racing through a museum is not fun. If time is of the issue, either increase tour time duration or cut down on viewed art pieces.

I will guide was very knowledgeable but very long-winded at the same time we probably could have done that for shorter amount of time other than that though he was quite entertaining. Don't miss while you're in Paris. It's like seeing the history of the world in one place.

Abbi was the absolute BEST guide - I would take a tour with her any day. She kept our group engaged and was so efficient with leading us through and making sure that we maximized our time at the Louvre. She was funny, extremely knowledgeable, and worked to cater the tour toward our specific group. I wouldn't do a Louvre visit any other way, and if there's any way to specifically request Abbi, you won't be disappointed.

He took us to all the main masterpieces and also many other interesting pieces and gave really comprehensive and easy to understand explanations of what we were looking at.
