Choose an entry time when booking; meet your host near the Eiffel Tower a half hour prior to your scheduled time.

With your group, stroll the short distance to one of the world's busiest monuments. The English speaking Spanish guide Marissa was very friendly but she spoke too fast for many people to understand. Specially people on the tour who don't speak English as a first language. A bit dissappointed as my elderly parents struggled to keep up and I even did at times.

It was a wonderful tour. We weren't able to reserve tickets to the summit direct from the Eiffel Tower site a few weeks in advance so decided to try this company. It could not worked out better. The tour was informative and we were able to go right in to the elevator up without waiting in the long line. We were fortunate to be able to go to the summit before it closed. Definitely worth the cost.

When we toured the Eiffel tower in 2017, we did not go to the summit. This year we decided to see what that experience was like. We are both afraid of heights, but were pleasantly surprised that we felt as safe on the summit as we did on the lower levels. I would recommend going to the summit if you have the opportunity! It started to rain on our elevator ride down and we witnessed a beautiful double rainbow when we got to the ground. Another beautiful day in Paris-dise!

Easy to find the meetup office; the cab took us right there from our hotel. On arrival, we were disappointed that they have NO restrooms for their guests. The greeters at the desk at the meeting place were kind of cold and business like. I would suggest they get some training in dealing with the public. After we got past that part, our friendly guide met with us promptly at our start time and gave us a nice historical talk on the tower…. he did a very nice job. Next, we were guided on a short walk to the base of the tower and got more interesting narration on Gustaf Eiffel and the tower construction history. This was done at the tower base with great views of the under structure. When all questions were answered, we were quickly and efficiently led to the elevators and went to the second floor of the tower… saw really neat views on the way up ( have your video button ready to push). On the second floor, our guide told us more about the tower, explained the views from our vantage point and told us how to complete our visit. He said to ride to the top floor and at our leisure work our way down by stairs or elevator back down to ground level. He alerted us that there could be delays getting to the top level but likely we could get there if we had patience. From that point, he bid us farewell and we were left to explore everything on our own. At first, we thought we were in some way shorted on our tour but once we took the elevator to the top and started our free roaming of all the levels, our visit turned out to be phenomenal. It was easy as pie to figure things out and we saw every nook and cranny of all the levels…. nothing was missed! We cannot imagine how our Eiffel Tower experience could have been any better. In short, this tour gets you quickly up the tower with no waiting lines and you get plenty of history and facts to make the visit meaningful. It is very easy to figure out what to see or do at the various levels and you can spend as many hours doing it as you like…. Really perfect! There are lots of souvenir shops, food options and restrooms. And the views from everywhere are astounding. Great job on this one Viator…. You get an A+++++ from us on this tour.

Beautiful sight of the tower and city, but was it worth the wait?

The good: the tour and tour guide, Salome, was excellent. She was entertaining and energetic and had a wealth of knowledge about the Eiffel and the rest of Paris to share. The tower itself is an amazing sight, especially at night when it twinkles. The bad: although this was a "skip the line" tour, there was still a LOT of waiting in line. And I mean, a LOT. Less so than if I had purchased a general entry ticket, but enough that since I had such a short stay in Paris, it did eat into my time. Salome did her best to educate us while in line and to keep things fun, though. She was excellent!

Disappointed in Viator and their local tour company, The History Group

I booked tours of the Eiffel Tower on Tuesday and Versailles on Wednesday through Viator. Those were my only two full days in Paris. About one week in advance of my trip, the operator of the Versailles tour advised me that they were notified that Versailles would be closed on Wednesday (King Charles is visiting), and that they would work with me to switch the tour to a day that worked for my schedule. Given that, I asked the Viator and the local tour company, The History Group, if they could switch my Eiffel Tower tour to Wednesday so I could move the Versailles tour to Tuesday. The History Group immediately responded that per terms of the ticket, this was non-cancellable and the time and/or date could not be changed. I did read the terms when I booked the Eiffel Tower tour, but since I booked both tours through Viator, I went to them next to ask if they could help...after all, they chose both outsourced vendors, so I felt that they should be able to convince the vendors to swap the dates of the two tours. Not only did Viator not help, but they never even responded. So be aware: Based on my experience, Viator will take your money, outsource to a local vendor, and then be of no help should things change with the local operators that they have chosen. While I am extremely disappointed in Viator and The History Group, neither of whom seemed to give a second thought to customer service, I want to commend "The Tour Guy", Viator's local operator for the Versailles tour, as they did whatever they could to accommodate my schedule.

We were also misled with "skip the line". I wish I had read the reviews more extensively. You can purchase the ticket online and "skip" this tour. The tour guide was nice but you cannot hear anything as it is so crowded and the tour has so many people. Not worth the money.

Tour was great and our guide was amazing. The only feedback I would offer is to let people know on the app that they should not have anything with them that is sharp, glass, or that could potentially be harmful to someone...this includes buying souvenirs before the trip as we found out and had to have our bag checked at the tour counter and they charge 3 euros. Also, the longest line is coming down after you have gone to the top.
