What To Expect

This area of Arizona is so rich in Native American history and culture. On this full-day trip from Phoenix, you will visit ancient ruins at either Tuzigoot National Monument or Montezuma Castle National Monument. One of the largest pueblos ever built by the Sinagua some time between 1100 and 1450 AD is at Tuzigoot National Monument. You’ll see the ruins of a building that once consisted of two stories and 110 rooms. Wonderfully preserved Montezuma Castle National Monument is an easily accessible structure built into a cliff about 70 feet (21 meters) above the ground. Here, find an impressive five stories and 20 distinct rooms.   Before returning to Phoenix, visit The Chapel of the Holy Cross, a modern chapel built into the buttes, as well as massive Bell Rock, one of Sedona's most popular red rock formations. You'll likely find the red-rock formations of Sedona awe-inspiring. Don't forget your camera to capture the vast landscapes.

Terrific tour of Native American ruins and beautiful Sedona. Aldo was a great guide making the day a wonderful experience. He is amiable, erudite and very knowledgeable of Arizona history and details of the sites visited. He also made for a very efficient and relaxing trip, avoiding traffic and congestion on a very busy tourist day. Highly recommend this tour for a family and would advise requesting Aldo as your guide!

Tour was not what we expected. Description on-line lead us to believe that optional trail hike was part of tour once in Sedona. Way too much time shopping instead of seeing the sites.

It is available for an additional cost if you add it prior to the tour date. The tour listing describes the expectations we deliver. The tour guide for this trip was fantastic, knowledgeable about nature and history of the area. No part of this trip seemed rushed,; we had plenty of time at each stop whether it was a photo stop or some thing more involved. The scenery along most of the drive and at all of the stops was breathtaking. The views surrounding the area of the Chapel, Bell Rock, and the Airport (vortex) site were amazing. Uptown Sedona was interesting to walk around- lots of outdoor art along with the galleries and shops.
