Tour guide Teri Au was beyond fabulous, as he was knowledgeable, patient and entertaining. Snorkel drift dive and buffet luncheon were likewise beyond our expectations, yummy Polynesian food, great fun eating with the fish and outstanding entertainment. This all day tour included almost everything we could possible see with the boat ride warm and cozy as heavy ponchos were provided to keep the cold wind from freezing us. We loved everything about this tour as Teri au kept us laughing despite all the rain. This was the highlight of our 45 day south Pacific cruise

Had a fantastic tour with ARE Tours. Our captain/guide Terehu did an excellent job. We visited a vanilla farm where we learned about the laborious process of manually pollinating the flowers that carry the vanilla beans, followed by a fabulous drift snorkel through the coal gardens - the corrals a beautiful and colorful and plenty of pretty fish. Next on agenda was a visit to a pearl farm followed by a delicious BBQ lunch on a small island. We were joined there by two more board from ARE Tours (each boat holds about 10-12 people) and the crew performed Polynesian dance and music for us. We were sitting on benches and tables in ankle deep water surrounded by fish , paradise. Personally I would have liked more time at the snorkel site in lieu of the pearl & vanilla farm visits, but if you have never been to one it is a worthwhile experience. Maybe ARE tours can consider offering a "snorkel only" tour offering for the future - that would be really great.

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Traveling with a 21, 15, and 8 year old it can be difficult to make everyone happy, but they all had the time of their lives. The private island was beautiful. The guides all joked from boat to boat, dang and played ukuleles. We saw vanilla, coconut tree climbing, eat wonderful lunches, snorkeled, and the Pearl farm was interesting. Best Pearl prices I’ve seen in Tahiti. I’d recommend this to anyone.

Clearly the best tour on the island - terry packed so many things in 8 hours comfortable canoe boat pearl farm rum factory he even played eukeleke personable funny great boat driver -amazing drift through coral gardens picnic on motu had amazingly great food - highly recommend doing this tour with terry id give this tour 10 stars if I could just do it !!

We had an amazing time. Our guide Tere was incredible. He took us by boat to a vanilla farm and explained the growing process of vanilla beans and how to make vanilla with vanilla beans. He also took us to a pearl farm. Then we drove by boat to a small island where he made a polynesian lunch for our group, they had covered picnic tables in the water and they sang songs as we ate lunch. He also showed us how to open a coconut, how to get coconut water and how to make coconut milk. then he took us to a large coral reef so we could snorkel. On the way to the last spot he sang songs to our group. Lastly he took us to an area where we could see a lot of sharks. It was a remarkable day and he was a wonderful knowledgeable guide. It was truely a polynesian experience. If at all possible ask for Tere. Thank You Tere for the Polynesian Experience.

This was one of the most amazing and well-rounded tours we’ve ever been on! Tere our guide was exceptional and really brought the Polynesian experience to life for us. Totally awesome tour. Enjoyed the enthusiasm and authenticity of the crew. A full day well spent at sea visiting a number of interesting places, and learning about vanilla, sugar cane, pearls,sharks, coral, etc. The Polynesian lunch over water was the highlight - a fitting climax combining food, information on coconuts and being well entertained by the young staff in their Polynesian attire. Preferred the day on the water rather than a land tour.

This was the most amazing tour ever!!!! Really nice guys running the tour, took us to Vanilla Farm, Rum Distillery, Pearl Farm, then Coral Garden to snorkel then to private Motu for lunch with picnic tables in the water and fish swimming around your feet. Through the course of this tour we saw, Dolphins, fish, stingray, sharks. So amazing!! Will do this again next year.

the entire day was beyond our expectation for the price we paid. we receiveda royal treatment and an authentic Polynesian experience that went above and beyond, we hated to say good bye to our awesome crew and hosts for the day. I found ARE Tours on Viator and booked this 7 hour tour vs a much more expensive one from the ship which was only a 1/2 day. We enjoyed a vanilla farm, a rum factory and a pearl farm visit as well as some snorkeling and swimming in crystal clear warm waters and then a delicious lunch served on a private motu featuring authentic Polynesian fish and other delectable. We tried new types of food and have to admit they were a delight. Most of all our crew we fun, courteous, informative and entertaining. We hated to say our good byes at the end of the day. If you ever get the chance to visit Raiatea, don't hesitate to find this tour and book it you will have one of your best days ever in paradise.

What a great way of to visit the uniqueness of Taha’a. Expect to spend a little money at the Pearl shop, the vanilla farm, and the rum distillery. The lunch that was provided was authentic and delicious. Our tour guide is one of the friendliest people I have ever met, and speaks both French and English. I would definitely take this tour again!
