What To Expect

Board the bus for your hop-on, hop-off tour at any of the stops along the route. Exchange your voucher for a ticket that is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours, depending on your schedule and preferences.

Disembark at any point to explore areas that interest you. Spend as much time as you like at any one stop, or skip those that don't interest you. Climb down to explore Vatican City and learn about the history of the Catholic Church or throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain, which legend has it ensures you return to Rome. Sit on the Spanish Steps and sample a local gelato or explore the Pantheon. Disembark to learn about the times of Roman gladiators in the Colosseum or stroll through the ancient Roman Forum.

While on the bus, listen to recorded audio commentary in nine languages through the provided headphones. The recorded narrative gives a comprehensive history of Rome and details its current role as a thriving Italian metropolis.

Operating Schedule: Hours of operation are 9:00am – 6.30pm Daily, every 13-20 minutes. It is really a hop on, once you find the stop, then hop off and walk a great distance to the attraction. Too far from stop to attractions. Took an Uber! Only used once on a 72 hour ticket.

The guided tour needs to state the next stop n the number corresponding to which stop. It wasn’t clear. Aldo wait times were longer than the average 9 minute pickup. We waited at least 39 minutes! Put more buses in during fmhigh season.

We got to see some piazzas and city gates that were not easy to access on foot. The service is awful. They spend too much time wasted at bust stops and drivers rest stops. The quality and depth of information is poor. Lots of wasted time playing music instead of telling interesting facts about Rome.

Enjoyable trip. Shame the cover over top deck wasn't removed, as it wasn't actually an open top bus..

Terrific value , stopping at all the best places to visit in Rome . Headphones supplied to hear all about the area where we drove through . Just get on and off as many times as you want . Air conditioned down stairs , keeping cool as we went along . Never get lost and convenient .

I did the Big Bus tour in Paris and it was wonderful so I immediately booked this one. Not quite as enjoyable, unfortunately. The information provided as to the location of the stops to BEGIN our tour was completely not helpful. As a result we walked literally hours trying to locate it. We were exhausted by the time we did and hoped to just relax on the bus and see the sights. Unfortunately, many of the 'attractions' could not be viewed from the bus or at the locations of the stops. In fact, several required a significant amount of walking just to see the sights from the stops. In addition, one of the stops was in an area that was .....a bit scary....and we were accosted by an individual who would not accept a no when he tried to sell my husband something. While the city of Rome may have incredible sights and history, this tour did not favorably reflect that. I would recommend restructuring your bus stops or at least the info provided as to their location for future customers.

Rome bus tour Worth doing the tour to give you a taster of all the sights of Rome. Although we were not told that we had to have war plugs so we could listen to the audio information, so ember to ask for some before boarding.

The trip was good value for money and showed us good view of Rome. Be aware if booking night time your, to book slot, and arrive early to choose seats. Only downside was aggressive and unprofessional staff. This occurred twice during night tour of 06/09/23. First attendant arguing with women trying to enter bus without booking, and it became aggressive from both sides, then the driver begun verbally abusing passenger whilst driving.
