Is a great way to avoid the long lines and get insight into the historic sites.

Guide misplaced our entry tickets. We sat and sat and sat.

The tour guide left tge groups entry ticket to the Coliseum at Palatine Hill. We were denied entry and sat for 30-45 minutes waiting for a supervisor to show up. He arrived and it still took another 20 minutes to be allowed in. Poorly done, inconvenient, and I wouldn’t recommend this company at all.

We absolutely enjoyed our tour! Lara (I think this was her name), our tour guide (a historian and archaeologist), brought a wealth of knowledge and passion to the experience. Her expertise added depth to the tour, which, lasting three hours outdoors, was well-managed. Lara ensured everyone had access to water and bathroom breaks, and we lucked out with Rome's cloudy weather, avoiding extreme heat. Here are some useful tips: 1. Bring your own headphones with a headphone jack. The disposable headphones provided on Italian tours tend to be of lower quality, and it's also a greener choice. 2. After entering the Forum and Palatine Hill, there's a coffee shop selling water bottles for just 50 cents, with coffee at only 1 euro. So, hold off on buying water beforehand. 3. Some tour companies use radios with sim cards (they're not exactly "radios"). These radios maintain a connection with the tour guide even if you fall behind or need to use the restroom. This is a significant advantage in crowded tourist spots. Seek tours with companies using these newer radios (this one was one of them) for a smoother experience.

The tour of the Colosseum was good, from there and we walked up to Palatine Hill. From the hilltop our tour guide pointed out the forum, but did not take us through the forum (which other tour groups were doing.) Our tour guide was knowledgeable, however, her english at times was difficult to understand which was made more frustrating because she was frequently far ahead of the group and the transmitter had a short range. Would not recommend.
