    It was a wonderful experience! A very interesting and informative tour! The apple cider was delicious and the lunch was very delicious! The bus driver was very friendly and I learnt a lot about New Zealand on the way and he even dropped me off at my motel at the end of the tour so exceptional service! Will highly recommend this tour!

    We had looked forward to visiting The Shire for years (Americans) and the experience did not disappoint. Being it was early spring in NZ, the weather was quite chilly (40’s F), sun/clouds/wind, but no rain. Loved seeing the darling Hobbit homes, beautiful green landscaping and having such a knowledgeable guide (Rachel) walk us through the area. We did the buffet lunch at The Green Dragon and it was delicious. I was also grateful that a stop at toilets, cafe & gift shop were available prior to returning to Rotorua. My only issue was how structured we were as to sightseeing and eating, but I understand that’s the way it has to be to control the masses. Thank you to the Alexander family 😎

    Well organised, punctual transport with very entertaining driver. Enthusiastic guide at the set. Free beer was excellent and the lunch was great - highly recommended

    Fantastic day. Phil our driver was hilarious and kept us entertained on the bus ride up there. The day is well planned, enough time to grab a coffee, see souvenir shop etc before and after the tour. Tour itself was amazing. Lovely touch giving us a free stein as apology for some construction work. Lunch was delicious. Absolutely nothing I would change! One tip, would be nice to coordinate a chance to come from Rotorua and get on Auckland bus after the tour. A couple of people did it with their cases, I wish I knew this before. But this didn't impact the tour itself so all good!

    Great day out! I personally love it as a fan of the movie and my partner enjoyed it even without seeing the movie. The food was great and tour guides were friendly, they even helped us take photos

    We enjoyed this tour from start to finish. We were given enough time to enjoy the place, take pictures (load of 'em) and the lunch was superb. Will definitely refer this tour operator to friends/families who would be visiting in the future.

    Much better than I anticipated. Outstanding bus driver and tour guide at Hobbiton made it an interesting experience. The Shire itself was fascinating. All those good memories from watching the Hobbit trilogy years ago flooded back. Really a fun time

    Our tour guide Kaya was great and everything was beautiful and for the construction going on it was wasn’t disruptive at all and cool to see what was being built and appreciate the gifts due to the construction

    Having Hobbiton come to life for me. Seeing in reality what I saw in the movies. Lunch was great too. I really appreciated our Guide Mike, he made it so much easier to visualise.

    Visiting Hobbiton was definitely on our bucket list and whilst our coach tour wasn't going there, we were able arrange our tour thanks to Viator and GreatSights. We broke away for a few hours whilst we were in Rotorua and were delighted that we did. Excellent mini-tour and the Coach Captain, Steve was one of the reasons. He was great. I'm 75 so I'm not likely to return however it left me with wonderful memories and so we will always be grateful.

    Wonderful day out if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit (and probably even if you are not familiar with those). Really impressive. Bring your ID though if you want a drink in the Green Dragon - I’m 33 and they wouldn’t serve me without mine 🤣

    The Hobbiton staff and the whole experience were friendly, welcoming and provided a great experience. The coach driver was in a hurry and bustled everyone out of the lunch before we had time to have our coffee, we ended up back in Rotorua half an hour earlier than expected. That was not an enjoyable part of the day.
