Holly was a wonderful guide. She captured the attention of our quiet teen who really enjoyed the day. All of us learned a lot and had a great time.
Fantastically Beautiful Tour!

Kathleen was very knowledgeable of the history of the Apache Trail areas and Superstition Mountains. Her education of the different types of cacti and other desert plants was very interesting
Happy Cactus tour

Overall I enjoyed myself on this tour and it turned out to be a great way to fill up a cloudy misty rainy day. I traveled solo and ended up sharing the van with a nice family of 5. The pickup spot in Old Town was perfect since I was able to walk from my hotel. The guide Kathleen was very friendly and informative about Arizona, types of cacti, Indian reservation, also she was a safe driver especially as she wound us up and around the twisty curvy road of the Apache Trail (heads up to those sensitive to car sickness).
I was expecting more hiking on this trip. The "hike" was a short walk on a paved path and maybe a few hundred feet beyond that on a trail to get to a picturesque spot where we took some photos and learned some camera tricks. We also stopped at the Canyon Lake overlook, but just took pictures there and did not walk around. I could have done without the ghost town visit and would have liked to spend more time hiking a trail on these mountains. The ghostown was a muddy mess since it was lightly raining. We spent just an hour there to poke around and kill some time and even that was more than enough time to see everything. The mine tour is an additional $12 and lasts about 15-20 minutes. That was a cheesy experience but also somewhat informative.
A must do

Hosts were knowledgeable and engaging. Great personalities. We learned so much about native plants, agriculture, mining and history of the area
This was an excellent tour of the Sonoran desert/ Superstition Mountain. I would highly recommend this tour group!
