The back story of Lake Taupo and the way the carvings were done was great. The real bonus was for my son who reeled in for the most part a rainbow trout, he wasn't expecting to do that. Kids loved it. Staff were great !

The speakers were not working on the bottom of the boat which meant we did not hear any of the commentary that happened. You go on these things to learn the history. You could go upstairs which was already packed and listen but you couldn’t sit which was dangerous cause it was rough sailing.

Relaxing cruise

Boat was perfect size, ample seating and viewing from large windows. Staff were very happy and friendly. Fresh muffins were delicious.
Trip was really enjoyable and relaxing with very clear and honest commentary.
Really enjoyed the experience.

A cruise not to be missed!

The crew was amazingly patient and accommodating to our party of 8 where one of our family members has a walking disability and requires a wheelchair.
The skipper was friendly and knowledgeable and pointed to us various important landmarks during the cruise. There were also hot tea, coffee and hot chocolate on board served with warm muffins which were handed out half way through the cruise.
I would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting Lake Taupo to go on this cruise!
