Great tour
Jami_B, Apr 2023
The small group tour is far more comfortable and enjoyable than the large groups offered through the cruise lines and is less expensive to boot. We were able to get into places the larger busses could not. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided great insight into the area.

This was the best tour we did our whole trip. Jan was a great tour guide and we stopped at many places. My favourite was McLaren falls.
A beautiful part of New Zealand

Our guide Jan was a pro. The visit to McLaren waterfall was a highlight for me. I really enjoyed learning about Māori history and about kiwi and Manuka honey production.
Seeing Tauranga

Our guide, Jan, was knowledgeable and a good driver. She answered all questions. We were driven to mulsights and had the right amount time out of the vehicle to explore. I was disappointed that the excursion description said we would be visiting a bee farm. We didn't get to go but, Jan held her own honey taste testing lesson, which was great.
Good Day Out

Very enjoyable and informative. We had previously done a tour around Tauranga but this was good value and we could appreciate the area more. Could have done with a coffee break

Turns out we were the only 2 people to book the tour and this day and the tour was not cancelled. Many thanks to Steve for the customized tour.

This was a great trip and we thoroughly enjoyed the countryside and our driver was excellent. Jan joined us as sat and enjoyed a coffee and the tour of the kiwi orchard and bees was extremely interesting. Travelling the countryside with something who knows and enjoys the area is wonderful I would highly recommend this trip to any one going to New Zealand. Tks Jan

Easy meet up with guide who was proud to show us the Bay of Plenty area. Fascinating tour of the kiwi fruit farm and the honey processing operation. Educational and informative. Had lunch at a small family café. Very good. The guide took us to McClaren sic Falls state park. On the return trip to ship our guide explained the Maori tribes histories and shared some interesting looks at how they live today. Good small group tour.

We really enjoyed this tour. We were able to see so much more because of the small group. The McLaren waterfall area was beautiful, it would have been nice to have a little free time to hike down. Kiwi 360 was interesting and the samples were fun to try. The Manuka Honey was ok, the tour seemed like it was geared towards school age children. Lunch was ok, the cafe was over whelmed when we arrived and told us it would be a 1/2 hour wait. So there were a few ups and downs but I still feel it was worth it. We could not have seen as much as we did on a shore excursion from the ship and being in a small group made it much more pleasant.

Eric and Mike led this tour. For a couple of mature guys they knew their area and were quite happy to pass on the good points. The tour of the Convita Honey was OK as an educational experience but lacked the hands on feel- it could have been in a hall elsewhere. The Kiwi Farm had a better touch/feel experience and was good to see. Lunch self accommodated was at a nice cafe which everyone enjoyed. The lookout over the bay was a highlight in perspective of the area. Well done Eric and Mike.
