Our guide was Steve, who was a fantastic representative and very knowledgeable of wine and the island. There were four in our group, though we didn't initially know the other two on the trip. We found them to be wonderful travel companions, and wine tasting isn't a tough way to forge new friendships! The wines were quite good, with our favorite stop being Goldie. We traveled in the off season (June, so late autumn for New Zealand). It wasn't crowded though we see the allure of being on the island when it's warmer. The entire process was easy, the staff (Steve) was a great guide whose company we also enjoyed, and we look forward to returning!

Amazing wine tour !

One of the best wine tours I’ve been on. We tasted a total of 12 wines (four at each winery), 13 if you include the wine with lunch. We were fairly lucky with the weather, we got some sun when we were out and about but one could easily do this tour on a rainy day. Do keep in mind you have to take the ferry to Waiheke island and that can be choppy depending on weather. The lunch was really good and included in the price too! We went to Three Seven Two, a nice restaurant right on the bay.

Location was amazing, great views and great scenery on the island! Wines were exceptional, really enjoyed two of the wineries, the last one wasn’t as good, the host left us waiting forever in between wines. Had a good bus driver and the lunch was very good!

This tour was exceptional. First class all the way. The wineries we visited had great views and knowledgeable staff. Nice tasting portions and variety. Lunch was in a nice place with great food. Our guide, Deb, was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour. We were a family of five adults on a leisure vacation.

Jude was a great guide. We got a bit of a rush tour due to ferry cancellations and lots of holiday traffic. But the tour is well done. Lunch was lovely near the coastal beach. Wines were fabulous and we really enjoyed Mudbrick where the wine host was superb.

Jo was an amazing host with fantastic knowledge of the local area. From the personalized greeting on arrival off the ferry, 3 quite different boutique winery tastings that weren’t rushed, and a nice relaxing lunch, the trip was timed perfectly.

Wine tasting

We were met (with a name sign) at the ferry dock and transported in a very comfortable van to three wineries. Each had its own unique style and product. At the conclusion of the tastings, we were treated to a very nice lunch. Following lunch we were returned to the ferry dock for the return trip. A very enjoyable tour and the driver/guide was informative and congenial.
